tdod101 Posted March 20, 2016 Report Posted March 20, 2016 Someone wanna build me a leak down tester? Canada big box stores suck so much dick! Can't find half the shit I need to even build the simplest things. I went to Home Depot, Lowes, Rona, Home Hardware, Nothing!!! Can't take driving around anymore looking for materials, let alone a psi gauge, smallest one I could was 15 psi. This country sucks sometimes. Anyways, who wants to build me one? Thanks. And yes, I looked at the forum leak down tester, Can't find any of it.Fuck Canada. Quote

If all else fails That guy's name is Kevin Galindo. He's pretty active on the FB pages. He has quite a few happy customers with his leakdown testers. I've sold parts to Kevin before and have known him for quite a while. Quote

jbooker82 Posted March 21, 2016 Report Posted March 21, 2016 (edited) I just use a mity vac hand pump and some rubber plugs. My mity vac has a pressure / vacuum gauge on it. That way you can pressure test, and vacuum test, let alone all the other handy stuff you can do with a mity vac I have the MV8500 kit. http://www.mityvac.com/pages/products_hvpk.asp Edited March 21, 2016 by jbooker82 Quote
jbooker82 Posted March 21, 2016 Report Posted March 21, 2016 I also used 1-3/8 to 1-1/2 rubber expansion plugs. They have a washer on each side and a bolt and nut. That way you tighten them down they expand to seal up the exhaust ports. Then I used regular rubber plugs for the intake. Install a 1/4" brass splicing barb in one rubber intake plug and your good to go. Quote
ClaudeMachining Posted March 21, 2016 Report Posted March 21, 2016 Does not ship to Canada. That's dumb, you should not buy from him then. Make one, it's easy to do and will cost you about 20$ Quote
