hp2000
Not saying China ones are better and I know you get what you pay for. After 2 seasons on my China one you can tell its age as its faded a little and had to clean up the glass twice already. As for the other onyx in my group it still looks great compared to mine with no maintenance. It's all preference and cost to the rider. Buckwheat
if you really want some light, http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-INCH-126W-CREE-Flood-LED-Work-Light-Bar-Driving-Off-Road-Fog-Jeep-4WD-Lamp-/261528534152?hash=item3ce450bc88&vxp=mtr That's the one I'm running thanks to a stator rewind by Gary. dave5.0
Anyone know what light bar fits the stock mounts best? 6", 10"?? Between the stock mounts? I bought a fleabay 15" that fit perfect between the mounts. Just needs a couple flat straps tweaked a bit and bolts right up.
rubberneck
how well does that 30" fit on the banshee? and at $850, ya, again, that $60 ebay light bar is looking even better. 30 inches? what on earth are you talking about? i have an 8 inch onyx and 2 x squadrons. the picture is posted above of my
rubberneck
Spot/flood combo beam for night dune rides works great for me. I do have it powered on its standalone battery so that helps maintain brightness. I'm 38 and mostly just ride Glamis and night rides are my favorite. I used to own the Baja designs onyx at the same time with my China 12" and as weird as it sounds the China one worked better for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk i believe you and can most likely tell you why. The first trip to the dunes dissapointed me as i couldnt see shit. I had ridden the bike in the woods and desert and could not figure out why in the dunes i was having so much trouble. The answer is hot spots that kill your night vision. The sand is very white and the combo beam on the ONYX is so bright in the middle of the pattern that your eyes actually start to lose some of their night vision. If you are looking anywhere but in that nice bright spot you cant see. I switched all my lenses over to the diffused pattern and could see much better. rubberneck
Anyone know what light bar fits the stock mounts best? 6", 10"?? From outside edge to outside edge of the stock mounts is right at 17 inches. Inside to inside is 13 inches. anything in that range would fill the space nicely with some new mounting. When the lights start to get out to that 17 inch mark they look pretty damn big imo. Of note a rigid 10 inch light is actually 12 inches wide from mounting post to mounting post. http://www.bajadesigns.com/ProductDetail?ItemNumber=451003 This light is sick. fasstbanshee
This is a great topic been wanting to replace my stock headlights with Rigid Industries R-46 LED Lights and then a 10" light bar later on for the handle bars. For the banshee would it be necessary to modify the electrical system to when adding a LED light to replace the factory ones. It is a DC voltage to the headlights already. willaduncan
8" Baja OnX still looks the best to me, it's what I run along with a small Trail Tech battery. Very small and sleek, but very bright. How did you mount the led bar? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
