WARNING TO VENDORS USING EBAY.

We were recently made aware of some rather unethical companies in the USA using Ebay's seller activity database that Ebay freely sells, and purchase target products for reproduction in China and distribution back on Ebay.  This is not really new news but sort of a new twist.

We have found countless links to prove the point.  We all know it happens but it seems Ebay is intent on converting their site to say "made in China" by shafting USA manufactures.

As well, a couple of these vendors are being propped up with "made in the USA" right in their listing.  However, I have personally tried to make contact with these folks and is evident these products are made in China.

I realize this is nothing new at all but it seems Ebay has knowingly and purposely setup a ces pool of unethical folks.  It is forcing us to reexamine our exposure on Ebay.

In some reading here on the forum, it seems several members have already been bit by some of these cheap products which seek to cut corners through quality control and product support.

I've been e-mailing Brandon back and forth about this and I think somehow this relates back to Denny Wang.

I can't prove it at this point, but the eBay user name that Brandon believes to be buying parts and sending to China also has a correlation with Wang.

Maybe you guys can dig up the facts..

The eBay user name is sstarparts 2010.

Here is a thread where that name is mentioned and Wang also comes up.

Ya, got a carrier from them about 5 years ago. Also brandished in made in USA on the auction, but it was packed with Ching Chong writing on the packing material. Bearings were definitely Chinese. Pissed me off because it was priced pretty high at the time and I deliberately looked for made in USA in an effort to avoid junk.

somebodys buying stuff from ebay and then copying and remaking it in china then resaling it on ebay as made in usa ? that dont suprise me. china copies all kinds of shit and remakes it at poor qaulity. i avoid anything from china and usually taiwan also. couple days ago i was looking for a infrared thermometer. 95% of em are made in china. went out of my way to find one made in usa. them wiseco chinese cranks are well know for breaking right in half. pure junk

it might cost alittle more but the best way to avoid china junk is buy your item right from the manufacturer then you know what your getting

Yeah, that is probably the one thing that pisses me off the most is USA companies buying Chinese junk and reselling it at a premium while standing behind their name.  The biggest names do it.  Wiseco for sure, even John Deere is doing it!!!  All those John Deere gators?  Guess what??  You are paying a premium for green paint and a name badge...  I could not believe Deere would do that but they do it with smaller mowers, tractors, you name it....  Only stuff they build is the big stuff.

My husquavarna mower is a honda engine and made in usa. Thats why I bought it. Perfect combo to me. Ebay and the chinese in bed together doesnt surprise me. Ebay sucks , as does US govt owned shell company google.

husqvarna lawnmower. i bet they dont make a single part on that sumbitch. probly rebadged sears mower from china

Husqvarna makes their own junk and actually make mowers for other people and relabel them. Craftsman mowers are built by AYP and that company labels alot of mowers. MTD is another large company using multiple labels.

watch out for ebay sellers using a nice pic then sending out garbage. bought some stuff and asked the seller specifically if i would get the item in the pic and they said ya. sure enough the sumbitch sent a old pooched part. put it right back in the box and sent the fuker back.

Was it Ray?
