INFINITIED
If anything the fatty is a mid-top pipe like a T5 or the old Gold series. The Gnarly and the SST are fmf's current trail pipes. Nobody runs them, hence no one knows about them, and they never get talked about. A pipe that sees 9,500+ rpm is not a trail pipe. a pipe that peaks at 8,000-8,900 rpm is going to be at max a great low-mid pipe. The best trail pipe fmf ever made was the old school woods pipes. They made awesome low end power. So no, the fatty is not a trail pipe, nor is it an all around pipe. You can't build a pipe for a 2 stroke that covers all ranges. You would have to have a reactive adjustable power valve and an on the fly adjustable pipe. i agree with Snop, and if i where building a total trail bike i would get a set of FmF g-narly with powercore ll's heres a pic of my trail banshee .. and it sports FmF's ..

To me a twin needs 2 carbs, its not worth the money for the little power gain on the bottom to mid...
peterlocal22
2 into 1 is the way to go for trail riding. i have one and love it. much better low end, makes the bike look cleaner and not so crowded by the motor. Best of all its so much easier to work on than the duals. changing out jets is as easy as removing your seat, lol. get one you will love it
sheerider1026
i have a 2 into 1 with t5's and a mild port job and love the way my bike runs.. i can smoke my buddys banshee which has stock carbs and trinity pipes with timing... my other shee has a 392 cub motor, which will always have duals.. it all depends on what you are doing with the bike.. deerekillr
I dont know if the 2 into 1 is worth spending tons of money to get over the duals but if you have it, run it. I run a 35PWK and a Greydon intake with a ported motor and DMC 916s on woods trails you cant get out of 2nd gear on and it works pretty well for me so far. The single carb is definitley easier to get tuned in and theres less strain on your thumb with a single spring. IMO work with what you got and put your money in other places that will improve your riding experience like suspension. Dont worry about what the dyno says or what any "expert" is telling you. Get what YOU think will be cool on YOUR bike and YOU will be happy with it at the end of the day.
