A good aggressive 20" tire?

I have been running Holeshot HDs, they are pricey but they are a good all around knobby trail tire. Very durable too. I am going to try the Razr2s on my next set though, never used 'em. The only gripe I ever had with my Holeshot HDs was they are not a great mud tire. (Not like a Banshee is going to be a mud bike anyway). But on some of the deeper muck they dont self clean very well, and get really slick.

jesus fuckin christ.. you cant be serious that these are the only tires that will make it up those coal hills.. there has got to be a cheaper, lighter alternative to these things.

Jesus Fucking Christ Loco... come and climb them and see for yourself. Stop trying to tell us what tires to run. We tried every tire out there... every one.

Razr's, Kendas, etc. They all suck serious sweaty nuts.

Mr. Loco.... answer a few questions here...

1. What tires would you run in sand? Razr's? Kendas? Knarlys? Stockers? Please tell me... No paddles either, tires in general

2. If you didn't have paddles, and paddles did not exist, what would you run? Think hard here

3. If the tires you chose did not grab enough, and every tire you chose didn't work, what would you run?

4. If you knew you needed a tire that grabbed, and dug in a little to get some traction in the coal, what tire would you run? It is similar to sand. You need traction to go... but it is different as you cannot just glide on top. You need to dig in. If you wanted to glide on top, you can run shitty tires like razr's and knarlys. Then you go nowhere.

We ride here.... we live here.... we know.

Swampers and paddles. Swampers last, paddles don't.

End of story

wouldnt you shit yourself if i came there, and climbed that fucking hill with a set of uncut kenda knarlys? what would you say then? because i would be willing to bet that my 10mm cub motor would have enough "tire spin" to climb that hill with a set of knarlys..

as a matter of fact, since im not close enough to come do it myself...

i have $20 bucks to the first person who climbs that hill on a set of knarlys.. come on now.. i know someone wants to take this challenge and prove that coal hill CAN be climbed on something other than some ridiculous, oversized 4x4 tires...

just do it, and film it..

20$? what about the $1000's in possible damages if the banshee comes end over end back down the hill.....

these hills are no joke loco...

that shit is SO lose, you couldnt walk up it if you tried, it keeps avalanching back down and pulling you down with it

NO ONE runs razr style tires on these hills, NO ONE !!!! everyone you see there thats been there before has a set of realtors, mudlites, paddles, "vamptires" or somethin like that,ect.... and yea people do use things other than oversied overweight 4x4 tires, they use paddles!!! just like you wouldnt run razrs or kenda knarleys in sand, you wouldnt run them in this shit! its heavier and probably looser

We are going to shoot a video of either me or PJ climbing one of the big hills with Razr's, Kendas, knobbies, stockers, etc. And then we will video us swapping them over, and one of us kicking the bike over and climbing the same hill with these bearclaws.

I was thinking molded paddles myself.???? tear that shit up!

Paddlemasters actually last a good bit compared to others, but in terms of durability in this stuff, they just don't last compared to a Swamper, Vampire, Bear Claw or Dirt Devil, etc.

gotcha, we ride at the cinders in northern Az.volcanic remains. its little pebbles and paddles is the way to go.It tears them up quicker than sand but you can haul some ass up the hills which are very large. hold on I'll put a link http://www.callback.net/pictures/100Hill/1...52806011_11.jpg

Yes, very similar stuff right there. Matt (pabansheematt) likes the paddles here and there, but only uses them on occasion.

They definately work the best, but for the time we get to use them, the money doesn't justify doing it. The bigger rubber hogs last.
