hey guys.. ok some people have sorta already answered this for me, but being 'mr. wanna know every thing bout a shee' aint satisfied

i wanna buy a noss head and wanna know it back to front but not sure wat compression domes i need. i have a stock engine with vf3 reeds (not installed waitin on ebay) , t-5s and pro design foam filter.. i will be doing a compression test as ssoon as i get my hands on one..

how do i know what size cc domes i need? plz explain

with my engine stock should i be lookin to be around 130 psi comp.?

will i need to rejet?

is adding octane boost in fuel bad?

thats all i can think of for now.. but it aint the end of me

thanks for ur knowledge

Hey, what's up? Nice bike!!

As far as the size, a smaller dome will raise your compression, a larger size will lower it. I think stock size is 22cc. You can find a chart of what your compression will be vs. altitude and dome size at nossmachine.com under Banshee Heads.

A stocker is about 130 psi when on a fresh bore. This will drop over time. You can let it go down to about 105 before you should start thinking about a rebuild. My last one was at 100psi, but I wouldnt let it get that far.

Octane Boost generally doesnt work. Your going to start having to use race gas if you decide you want to bump up the compression too much. Depending on your elevation 21cc is usually the limit for pump gas. After that your going to have to search some threads and see what octane people are running.

Good luck, and keep that bike clean!! I like the yellow bikes.

I agree that yellow & black looks sweet

I don't think the octane booster stuff is worth it either, you're better off with good quality fuel at the right octane, or good quality race fuel, or a 50/50 mix. Reason being, detonation does a lotta damage and I wouldn't wanna risk it with a cheap bottle of god knows what.

You shouldn't need to rejet for the coolhead but it doesn't hurt to double check it. The Delta's will likely want a needle clip position adjustment and might want 30 pilots if you don't have them already. Good luck.

hmmm take the other plug out when you do it. what brand is ur compression tester? isnt this bike only a couple hours old?

also if you use BP98 fuel you can run 19cc noss domes if you are on top of your jetting.

you having just started out in the banshee game though i would get 20cc domes and advance the timing 3-4 degrees.
