Tapatalk
Where exactly in PA is this? Hit me up if you guys go out again, I'm down as long as its not more then 2 hours away from me. I even have a trailer and truck, so if anyone else in NJ wants to go just throw me a fe $$ for gas. Jason, I'm right over the burlington bristol bridge and it took me 2 hours. Well worth the ride, lots of great spots. I'll be back again and again I'm sure! There aint nowhere to ride by me, thats the spot right there with them boys. LiftdT4R
I gotta keep an eye on this thread then, I have been itching to ride. I really only get to go to NY state for a week out of the year and then my bikes just sit. Its tough to justify this new build to my old lady when I dont even ride it. Anyone know a town that this is close to? Ill plug it into my GPS and see what the ebst route is. Even if it takes 2 hours, Id still be down to make a day trip out of it and leave early. Never been on a ride with any HQ members either.
TeamRealtreeHD
Lifted... Plug in Mount Carmel, Pa 17851 OR Kulpmont, Pa 17851 All three areas you saw in video are within 10 minutes of trails to each other. And Coal Hill, the School Bus Hills and the Gap Hills are only a hop skip and a jump as well. Not to mention Mile Hill (Goulds Pump) and the Centrailia, Ashaland, Locust Dale, etc. hills. If you come up this way and don;t like it, you should definately sell your bike and buy a yo-yo
Michael Jackson
im sure it will be longer drive than 2 hours, but well worth it trust me, i live about 10-15 miles from the PA border, and about 1 mile off route 78, so you couldnt get much more convenient than that for going to this place, but either way the ride is a bitch, im not gona lie, 78west is smooth sailing, but once you hit 61 north by cabellas, its a cunt, traffic lights , stop and go, little towns, 35mph speed limits, mix in weekend traffic and sometimes it can be a real WHORE, last year on 4th of july it took me about 4 hours to get there, only because i left in the middle of holiday rush hour though, with no traffic , or normal traffic, i can make it there in about 2 1/2 hours, 120 miles for me, 61 can just be a real bitch sometimes, and same with 78 west during big holiday weekends, either way its well worth the drive , its not bad when ur feining for a good rip for a day ride, but you should really take a weekend and camp out, that way you get to see some of the area, in a days time you wont see anythin, youll spend half your day at coal hill wondering where all the fuckin coal came from and miss out on all the riding there is to do , you need a few days to explore and see all the riding it has to offer, and like real tree said, if you cant have fun there, sell the bike and get a yo yo, because that area is fuckin awesome, every kind of riding you want, its there..and FREE! shhhhhhhh Edited September 2, 2008 by Michael Jackson
LiftdT4R
Good to know about the ride, maybe a weekend out there is the way to go. If anybodys gonna be out there on a Saturday or Sunday soon hit me up, Ill definately go out for a weekend and scope it out, otherwise I dont have anyone to ride with, and I dont like riding alone. Also, any place to shoot out there? Or leave the firearms at home? I dont have anything crazy, and Im not a psycho, but I have a .223 thats the same story as the Banshee, lots of loot into it, and only gets used a few hours a year. Ohhh, MJ, your not from around P-Burg are ya? I have friends out in Harmony.
TeamRealtreeHD
Lifted... If you casn't find anybody to come up with you, make the trip alone and come to my place. You can park here. Your .223 can be used here. The range I go to is free for you since you are my guest. I also own a .223 and shoot long distance, so it would be great to have another guy with me when I go. I like to go in the evenings so the mirage isn't bad. That would work great... ride all day, shoot for an hour or two before dark. You are welcome to come up anytime you want, and it would be better if you came with a fvriend or buddy, but if not, it will still be well worth the trip. mdhc500
My G/F and I were at coal hill and the surrounding trails yesterday, labor day, on our Banshees...It was very quiet...only saw one other Banshee, a boatload of bikes and some other quads. Overall, the traffic was VERY low. I guess everyone got their rides in on Sat and Sunday. What time were you guys there, and what color were your bikes? I saw one shee coming down as I was heading up to the top... It was damn quiet as far a Shee's go... hercalmighty
How far away are you coal guys from Shanadoah? I have a fast way to get up there just trying to figure out how far away from there you guys are
TeamRealtreeHD
Hey Realtree, What about shooting 30-06. I havnt had my gun out in two years now ( most because of my dumb ass brother). I hunt with a .30-06, so I shoot that as well. Altough I just picked up a .308 on a steal of a deal, I will still be using the .30-06 as well. I have my own range behind the house, and I also belong to a local gun club where I am allowed one guest for free and any other guest after that pays $10 to shoot all you want. The range behind my house I have set up to 200 yards, and the local gun club goes to 450.
