Went riding two weeks ago banshee ran great, except kept fouling out plugs. Got back home and would not start at all. It is a 97 with 17cc domes +4 advance, stock carbs, no tors, no park break.

I went and replaced tha stator and coil, I am getting good spark from both sides, When I pull out the plugs the are wet like it is way too rich. i moved the clip on the needle to the 2nd slot from the top, it was in the third slot. It still seems that there is way too much fuel getting to the cylinders. I even gave it a shot of ether and no luck. Any advice at all will be welcome.

What fuel do you run and what is your altitude?

You can get them at auto parts places but be careful of the cheap ones, they can read way off.

Yeah check your compression to start with but what are you running for main jets? Also make sure your air filter/s and pre-filter/s are clean because if they are dirty you will run rich.

Have you tried new plugs too?

Shore does sound like a jetting issue to me.

Are your unning stock carbs? If so, what is your jetting in them, also a complete list of mods, as well as your airbox setup would help a lot in determining what jetting to run.

As far as the clips on the needles, on stock carbs you want the needle on the middle clip, believe it is the thrid.

Well I did a compression check and niether cylinder would go over 75 psi. Left side leaked it down pretty fast but right side leaked down real slow.

So do you think all I need is a top end????????????

Pro design cool head

My pistons are 66.5m

advanced +4

tors are removed

parkbreak is removed

Any feed back would be great, I am going to go take off the jugs and see what the pistons look like? The bike has never gotten hot at all, so maybe a new top end will fix the problem.
