Mitch Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 (edited) Hey everyone. Im new to the Banshee/2-Stroke scene. Right now im running Klotz R50 at 32:1. I have full fmf pipes, port and polish, shaved head, boyessen reeds, RZ bottom end, and Vitos +4 degree key. Would it be better to lean the mix out to 40:1? Edited August 17, 2008 by Mitch Quote
ex400 Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 its up to you lots of guys are scared of blowing the motor so the stay with 32:1 when i am running low on oil i run 50:1 with out a problem Quote

ClimbAnyHill Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 Whats your jetting? What do the plugs look like? I run a little rich @ 32:1, at times I run it @ 40:1 without probs! Quote
04ShEeLE Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 I think it's all preference! I have always run 40:1 in my banshee without any problems running Redline oil Quote
boneyardbanshee. Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 It depends on what oil your run and what your perference is. Your jetting will be affected on it. Look at your plugs. If they look good stay were your at. I run at about 60:1 on Amsoil. Still a little rich. But I have been working on the jetting also. Was running 50:1 But dropping that 1 oz. per 5 gallons made the bike run better. Quote
Mitch Posted August 18, 2008 Author Report Posted August 18, 2008 Im just going to keep it at 32:1. It never fouls and the plugs look good. Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 32:1, 36: and 40:1 are all good ratios that I have had luck with in the past. I ran 40:1 on a stock unported motor with all bolt ons. Now I run 32:-36:1 on a ported bored motor. Better to be safe than sorry. Quote
locogato11283 Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 i run klotz/110 and 50:1. never had any problems. Quote

Quadatic20 Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 Klotz 6oz to 5 gals gas = 40:1 10 years never an issue.... Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 Klotz 6oz to 5 gals gas = 40:1 10 years never an issue.... You meant 16 oz. to 5 gallon of gas... Quote
hercalmighty Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 I hope he meant 16oz. 6oz would be 107:1 !!!!! If you can get an hour out of it I'd be impressed. Quote
