Reeds

I have a stock Banshee with KN's and jetting. I am looking at getting some T5 and want to know what reeds to get. Are there any performance difference for my setup with either using.

Boyesen Pro Series Reeds $89

Boyesen Super Stock Carbon Reeds $53

Are there any other reeds that you would recommend. As I am in Australia I would prefer to order through the internet.

Also would those reeds still be good if I were to do some porting later on.

If you want to save some money and not drop some serious dough on VF3's or rad valves, do like I did and buy the reeds and port your own stock cages.

Cheap and easy power!! I noticed the power and response gain immediately

If i'm correct all reeds will work with any style pipes, some have their preferences but it's different strokes for different folks

I like ported cages and even know guys stil running stock cages in big cubs etc. If interested I have a set of ported cages with carbon tech carbon reeds in them that were on a bike for 1 ride. I'd sell them for less than a set of reeds would cost you. Radar

I use the Boyesen Power Reeds. They retail at $32.00 per and are a long lasting 2-stage fiberglass reed. Carbon reeds wear out a lot faster in a standard style reed cage.

You can find them on eBay for $25.00 each. This guy ships worldwide and he sells them (2 sets) for $52.00 + shipping.

I run this series of reeds in my Banshee, YZ, and Blaster and used them in my RM's, KX's, RD's and RZ(s) as well.

You want item #645 if you decide to look for them locally.

I've heard a lot of people say the V-Force 3's are the only way to go for the best performance, but I believe the gains to be minimal at best when compared to the post Boyesen upgrade.
