BlntdEyez
Definately worth it to get the porting. Buts its not worth it to go any bigger than u have too on the pistons. you want to keep as many bores as possible on those jugs.
TeamRealtreeHD
Get a coolant water bracket. Rocky Mountain ATV sells them the cheapest. Lose the airbox, mount the bracket up on the two holes where the airbox went and keep the coolant bottle. I think I got mine $30 shipped to my door in a few days too. Plus it will hold an extra set of spark plugs for you. josh

Onesickcrewcab
You need one of these. http://www.rockymountainatv.com/productDet...2#vehicleSelect As far as your jetting, your lean. I would try 280-300 to start and go from there. What elevation are you at? Shaving the head will bump up your compression. Wont give a whole lot more performance, if any. If you shave it enough you will have to run race fuel, and it can get costly.
sa3ood_banshee
i did this on my friends shee since mine is still stock, its free and eassy, just cut tha back part of ur airbox (tha part that holds tha bottle), sa3ood

mopar1rules
my shee beats my buddies ds 650 no problem. that was even before i did half to it, of what i have done. he even has a white bros pipe, k&n filter, and what ever else. the boost port is the little port directly above the 2 intake ports. you can shave the stock head a safe .030". it will give you more compression and will wake the bottom to mid up. you won't need to run anything more than 92 octane after shaving the .030" off. start @ 1-1/2 to 2 turns out on air screws w/the 300 mains. if you want your head shaved, i can do it for you. banshee1982
well i have put the 300 mains in and im running the air screw 1 3/4 turns out very strong very fast. and i cut off the back of the air box to make my coolant bottle hanger...i rode it for 2 hours straight doing hill climbs and some slow tech stuff then i drag raced my friends 450 (and won but when i stoped i was over heating a bit granted it was a hot night i let i cool off and it still runs great but what can i do to make it run cooler? do they make fans for these beast? thanks for all the feed back on the jetting and stuff...any suggesttions to go faster for low $$? xXBlessedWithDeathXx
If by chance you are lean your shee will run hotter.
dragbanshee
Don't forget the +4 timing and a coolhead NOSS would help. If you get it jetted right you should take the DS, 2nd gear launches and keep the Rs up. What gearing do you have?
mopar1rules
banshee1982, you should see if your shee wants more gas....checking plugs after wot for like 6 sec. you might have to bump up to 320 mains, but double check your plugs to know for sure. you can go here, to read up on modifying your stock timing plate. its question #56. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/elecfaq.html did you shave your stock head .030"? believe me, its safe. what is the casting number on the top of your head?
