Da-shee-s-nit Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 D.I.D x-ring chain, bad ass chain imo. Quote
shanYE west Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 I use the EK SRK X-ring chain right now.. I probably should use a non o-ring chain for what I do.. but... I'm lazy and dont like to clean and lube my chain much.. lol I've only had one failure with the EK chain.. but it was 100% my fault.. Quote
LiftdT4R Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 Personally I prefer the cuban links :yelrotflmao: Chains are like pipes, everyone swears by the chain they use. Ive tried like everything under the sun on my bikes and quads. Like NYUK said, the Regina chains were nice, pre stretched is the way to go. If you take care of it, and its decent it should last a long long time. Quote
No Limit Powersports Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 We have used a ton of different chains and found that the RK MXZ3 is about the toughest non-oring chain at about 8800lbs and last great. We just started carrying the sidewinder stuff and they claim 16000lbs but it is very expensive and we havent had a chance to test it yet on some of the bigger bikes. The sidewinder sprockets are gauanteed for life though but again very expensive. Quote

Michael Jackson Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 i use a rocky mountain Primary Drive o ring, steel of course, $55 for chain and both sprockets, works great for bangin around the woods, i dont like to spend alot of money on ware items, ive had this one 2 years so far, even if i onyl get 2 seasons out of it... its so cheap who cares, it works Quote
_Hex* Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 Yeah but when your a sponsered racer you get a free new chain every race. no im not talking about bought out racer im talking racer ... us the people who race for passion not money Quote
EastCoast Banshee Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 i run pretty much any good brand of non o-ring chain. pretty much whatever costs less at the time im a cheap bastard. Quote
differentstrokes Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 I like just about any X-ring chain (Regina, RK, Primary Drive), but I definitely prefer a gold chain regardless of brand since they seem to resist rusting better than standard finish chains. The Primary Drive X-ring is hard to beat for the money. Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 The Primary Drive X-ring is hard to beat for the money. Yes man and mine has not needed adjusting yet or anything of that sort. And i beat the living shit out of it in mud and all sorts of crap and it's hard to beat that price. Quote
bada450r Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 one more vote for regina chains i have runned them in all my bikes with no problems Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 Trail, Dune, Drag my DID 520 Oring Chain. No complaints! Quote
04ShEeLE Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 I still have the stock chain and sprocket on my banshee from 2004. I ride it pretty hard and I honestly haven't even had to tighten it yet. It's just now starting to get a little loose. I'm very happy with the stock chain!!! IMO Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 I am very impressed with the KMC chains. I get the gold o-ring chains and they have been very reliable on my other bikes, and I have one on my 'shee for 2 weeks now. Looks good and performs good too. Quote
