mississippi banshee Posted August 4, 2008 Report Share Posted August 4, 2008 well boys i came across a r6 motor real cheep as in free from a friend that wrecked his and he just called and told me now and i saw a couple craptr build on here and iam going to do one my self and the reason iam not doing a banshee r6 is cause i heard and read that it takes alot of moding and is not worth it but that the r6 pretty much drops in a raptor frame with no moding and so now i want to build one and after see locogato's i really wanted to build one so i did alot of seching and could not find the info i need so what are some tips or things i will have to change for the swap and iam a very good welder and fabractor just looking for more imput before i try this almost like a step by step or a direction to start in for the build and sorry for the long post but iam just realy happy about all this and all help is wellcome and please keep negative or hateful post to yourself not being rude just dont wont rain on my party if you know what i mean and thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I got half way through the first one and gave up! sorry just typing to fast i was asking how he setup his ignition. like is it best to start from scratch or modify the stock one. that is where i'm stuck and please go into detail because i'm lost in the dark if you know what i mean. SandRageShee Posted August 9, 2008 Report Share Posted August 9, 2008 we just used the hole wiring harness from the zx9r. we just ran the wires where they needed to go IE. headlight plugs into the trailtech bullets. then then tail light wires to the rear, and make sure you have the cdi and rectifier grounded or your going to be chasing hell, and make sure you have the key ignition because we didnt have ours and we didnt have spark then it dawned on us. kawasaki and the shitty anti theft LOL im not sure how yamaha is...
