Yea you can run just regular 10W30 or 10W40 or 20W50 4 stroke oil. You cant just get any oil. It has to be made for atv's/motorcycles that have wet clutches.

You can also run Automatic Transmission Fluid Type F.

I usually run an oil that is designed for 2 stroke transmissions. Bel Ray Gear Saver, Silkolen sp? Comp Gear, Honda HP 80w.

seriously, I persolly run the Honda red bottle stuff. click here

Yep.. I used the honda 80/85 oil for a long time.. I recently swtiched to ATF..( cuz its cheaper) but for some reason my trans just doesn't feel the same.. so I'm swtiching back to a 2-stroke trans oil like honda 80/85, Maxima MTL or Gear saver..

Umm you need to be more specific with this statement. It does NOT have to be made for ATV's and motorcycles with wet clutches.

What you need to say is ANY SAE Certified motor oil that is NOT friction modified will work. If it good enough for the OEM's than it is good enough to use. The service manuals and the OEM recommend regular motor oil that is SAE certified. I use Castrol 10w30 in my 96 Banshee and I have never had a single problem and it is still on the factory clutch.

If you want to spend extra money for peace of mind, go right ahead. Keep in mind there are no more shearing forces in a Banshee trans than there are in, say a V8 engine.

Shell Rotella 15W-40.

Made from quality base stock and the add-pack that is very close to motorcycle specific branded oils. And it costs $9/gal at Wal Mart.

I've ran it in my YZ426F, YZ250, Raptor 250 and the 03 Banshee I just picked up. Never had one oil related issue, ever. Do some research.....
