dirtycj5 Posted August 2, 2008 Report Share Posted August 2, 2008 i was having trouble with my banshee i just did a complete rebuild new pistons, rad valves, rebuilt the carbs, took off the tors, made the wiring simple took off all the light wires and tors BS. then it didnt want to crank over it would try to start then just bog. i checked every thing compression 150 psi, nice blue spark, fuel. so i was stumped read the manuel over and over. came on this site did a search and i found what i needed. ground the red and black wire off the cdi and there we go fire i cranked the puppy up at 10:30 tonight THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for such a great site Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Welcome to the HQ man! any pics of your toy? heres a pic of my banshee i just got it all back together. its got 40 over vitos super stock pistons, rad valves, fmf fattys, shaved head. the reast of the quad is pretty much stock next ill be buying some suspension and ill hit the track this is my first yamaha i had many outher quads trx250r, lt250r, kfx700, trx450r and a few dirt bikes heres a pic of my trx250r and my 450r Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

dirtycj5 Posted August 8, 2008 Author Report Share Posted August 8, 2008 i took the banshee to the mx track. its a hand full on the whoops to much power to little suspension = all over the track i think the porting is alittle to wild for mx would be good for drags. its just flat out to much motor for what i need BUT FUN!!!!!
