maxtrax
I was really thinking about getting a case saver so I don't end up doing the great sin but didn't know if one kind was better than another. Plastic/metal? Styles? Also, I was thinking about getting a larger front sprocket but don't know if it will fit in a case saver. Is there one that is good for both a stock and a +1 sprocket? Thanks for the input. Andrew

Go with a plastic type case saver if you can, they have the ability to absorb impacts much better than a metal one. That said, here's my billet modquad with a 15 tooth. Not much tollerence is there? I wasn't sure.
jbooker82
Get the Plastic TM Designworks one. It braces its self against the cases, intead of just relying only on the 3 bolts on the bottom. It also goes behind the sprocket as well.

It also goes behind the sprocket as well. I have the same one and it started leaking gear case oil right after installation. It requires removal of the stock shift drum cover. Just FYI. I ahve to remove mine and see what it will take to seal it. SP

Cases may have better chance without it.

I have 3, but am running larger than 14t on all, so they're just on the shelf.
SAVAGE420
I just machined my mod quad one down a few mm's and a 15 worked perfect!
Banshee350TX
Yeah, a case saver is a good investment for anyone who doesn't already have one. I bought a banshee from a friend and the case had already cracked from a broken chain. Does anyone know if I can still mount a case saver on mine(just to prevent any further damage) if the case has already broke right above the sprocket? maxtrax
I like the TM designworks one. It seems that that offers the most case protection of all the ones I can find. Can someone also tell me if it is worth the extra money to run o-ring chains instead of the regular ones. I would have to burn through about three regular chains to make up the cost of an o-ring chain.

Last non oring chain I had never stopped stretching I bought right before a trip to West Virginia and the whole time I was there I was adjusting and worring about throwing my chain and breaking my case. I even had to cut a link out of it there, never go non oring again.
