wittle350
First off i hope i got this in the right forum, so friday i was ridin the shee and noticed a strange noise, sopped to chck things out and noticed that the master link clip and other half was gone, no big deal just run down to the closest dealer and buy a new one. Arrived at the dealer (wiht chain in hand) went to parts desk and told them i needed a master link for the chain, so the guy takes the chain back to parts room and about ten minues later comes back out and says heres what you need. so i paid for he part headed back home, yes i did make one mistake, i didn double check to see if master link would fit, well i get home and go to install new link and the gosh dam hing doesnt fit, IMAGINE THAT, and doesnt help that about six months ago i blew the head gasket so i called the to order new one and same friggin dealer didnt know what i was talking about when i told them that i needed a head gaske for a banshee, they actually had the friggin nerve to tell me that i needed to adjust my valves or check my cam for wear, and that was actully one of there mechanics, so the way i see it guys if you own a 2-stroke or a shee dont call the dumb ass dealer, at least around my area, so i am glad that i know how to work on the banshee because will not be taking it to no dumbass dealer any time soon. friggin dumbass's
jamebo
Sorry about your troubles with them, there are definitely some dealerships out there that you have to be careful with. I've had some problems with a couple of them myself. I believe your right, I think most dealers these days don't know as much about 2-strokes as they used to. These days everything mostly revolves around 4-strokes with them. Not saying they are all bad, but if my Shee needs something done to it I feel more comfortable doing the work myself than taking a chance...... locogato11283
you should try using some punctuation, not just commas. dealers suck, stay away from them.
wittle350
I'm glad that i'm no the only one that thinks like that way about dealers. Service manuals help out alot. Anoher thing i always thought working on a 2 stroke was easier than 4 stroke anyways since you dont have to fool with any cam chains or adjusing valves. SandRageShee
try living in las vegas and when you go in to order simple lugnuts for a blaster and a rear brake cable for a blaster. and they order you FUCKING POLARIS LUGNUTS AND REAR BRAKE CABLE. WHAT THE FUCK. thats the reason i no longer shop at fucking yamaha dealers in las vegas or now known as RIDE NOW POWERSPORTS.. i go to atv cycle sports aka STEVE ABBOTT he ALWAYS has everything in stock.. dajogejr
If a dealer told me to check the valves on a banshee when ordering a head gasket, I would've calmly and collectively told them "TO SHUT THE FUCK UP BECAUSE YOU DON"T HAVE A GOD DAMNED CLUE, ASS HOLE"....then told them to have a nice day and hung up. Shit on me once, shame on you...shit on my twice, shame on me.
nayr742003
the dealers around here are pretty stupid as well when it comes to a 2-stroke. I have learned more from being on this site and learned whom to call and ask about parts that i need. I might not get them that day but atleast i know they are what i need and the right ones. SandRageShee
well its hard to call them and ask them for REED VALVES and they say. do you want the stock steel type or titanium ones. and then you explain and they sit there and then tell you that they have NO CLUE what they are doing. once again. STEVE ABBOTT FTW
