SCEADU
I just got done building and engine from the ground up. Since I was ahead of schedule and wanted to get all the bugs worked out before my son goes back to school, I reused an old clutch. Seems that the clutch I had was a cheap after market kit. One of the friction disks is Green and the material on it is like rubber. Could this be a version of the cusion that goes on first? When I tore the engine down I don't remeber a cusion ring like is in the Banshee how to disk I bought from one of the members or in the Clymer manual. I put it all together and now when the PB opens up it feels like it surges or slips tremendously. I plan on buying a F.A.S.T clutch on Monday but I wanted to spend tomorrow working some bugs out. LiftdT4R
Soundls like it's slipping to me, thats where it usually starts because when the power band comes on your putting a huge load through the clutch. Look at the tranny oil, if the clutch is going it should be a milky white and have tiny metallic specs. I'd just replace it at this point though. Definately sounds like a shot clutch to me.
