sealing exhaust (oof)

I use hi temp RTV also, but I put mine together wet and use my finger around the exhaust flange/pipe mating surface to clean it up. No issue to date!

i did this, and did not solve my problem ... i will try letting all dry for a few days first

I dont even bother with orings any more, i use hi temp RTV and put a nice bead inside the pipe where the oring sits and another on the exhaust flanges near the ends of them. let both dry and put the pipes on.

 

 

I guess you guys find this stuff at any hardware store, or is it somewhere else?
