bansheesickness
anyone out there have a set of pt mids with cascades csfx silencers? just got mine and it seems the silencers are too short, by an inch. after you slip the stingers into the pipes and then try to bolt on the silencers, you cant get the 12 mm bolt in the very back, which holds the silencers on. i need another inch or so, my whole lifes story lol any sugg? any one ran into this? It has been a couple of days, and you may have solved the problem. If not, do you need rear exhaust hangers with those silencers? What did Cascade have to say about it? :ermm:
bansheesickness
no i havent fix it yet, cascade says there is no hangers in the rear. it just bolts directly to frame this is how far its off

It almost makes me think you have something installed wrong or something weird going on with the bike. I have some csfx stinger tubes at the shop, but cant measure them for a few days. I have some csfx stinger tubes at the shop, but cant measure them for a few days. i dont know what else i might be doing wrong. i have the upper bolts loose on the hangers and the 3 springs are on the front of the pipes. the pipes are pushed all the way up to the exhaust flange. and no matter how i push, move or twist the pipes i cant get the stingers to match up with the pipes. the stingers only bolt on one way to the silencers. i have cubbs on my bike but i assume that all the specs are the same as to a stock cyclnder. the bike has never been rolled and nothing is bent. i have no clue
Snopczynski
are the silencer tubes for paul turner midranges the same as the silencer tubes for paul turner high revs? Are those the ptr mids or high revs? Edited July 15, 2008 by Snopczynski
bansheesickness
they are mids. and i dont know if they are the same as the highs
Snopczynski
The left side stinger tube from flange to the end is 19" with the tape held straight and above the stinger. Edited July 15, 2008 by Snopczynski
jbooker82
You try bolting the silencers up to the other bolts on the grab bar. I think most use the rear mouning bolts of the grab bar. Would the front bolts be to far forward? josh
bansheesickness
ya the bolts are to far away. and thanks Snopczynski for the measurement. mine measure 18 and a shy half that extra half an inch would probably work. it seems as if i allwas get the short end of the stick. check this out, i just bought a set of csfx's for my wifes shee which has t5s and no joke but when i put them on they are allmost an inch long. i cant win the stingers are pushed all the way on the pipes and i have the hangers loose in front. no matter what i try im off a inch. it sounds like im a dumb ass and have no clue what im doing, but this is not the case. it should be a simple add on but nooooo. when i layed them out next to my t5 silencers they are an inch long. first i come up sort now im an inch long. normaly thats a good thing but no in this case. at least i can cut the stingers down and make em fit. may need a sludge hammer, it will fix just about anything
