Hey guys I'm looking for some advice on tires. I need a new set of rear knobbies sometime before the end of this season. I ride an 89 but I have the newer hubs with the smaller bolt pattern, so I want to know what size and style tires some of you run. I plan on doing a lot of trail riding so I want something fairly aggressive. Any info would be great.

Thanks :notworthy:

I know a lot of guys will recommend the Kenda Gnarleys, but I have had real good luck with ITP Holeshots that have been on my trail Raptor and now sometimes see the banshee when the paddles come off.

I have had these tires up some real nasty stuff here in CO and they have been great! I actually punctured the sidewall on a trail that pitched me sideways into a sharp rock and had to put 2 plugs in the sidewall that are still holding up a year later!

Mine are the 20x10x9 size and the only bad thing about them is the hurricane of dust and dirt these kick up for anyone behind me

Sweet thanks. I have looked at the Kenda tires and I like them. Right now I have holeshots and they have been good to me also. thanks for the input!

The razor is a good tire and the price is right but if your wanting something really agressive, I haven't seen anything as good as the razor 2s they hook up. 20x11x9 or10

Friend of mine has had really good luck with Razr's. Good hook up and the wear on them is pretty good as well. I also like my Kenda Knarly's, good hook up, especially on nice soft/moist dirt, and hard packed as well usually. So far they have been wearing good too. I would recommend 20's for the tire size, unless you do a lot of trail riding where the added height is needed. 22's get a little heavy, and balloon a lot at high speeds.

I run 18's in the rear and nothing but them. after riding a 250r for years and being so close to the ground I dont feel at home unless I have 18's. right now i have holeshots but will never buy them again I am goin to go with the new razr imx they have great reviews.

my favorite is the standard maxxis razors in the 20 inch size for the rears.

same here, I freakin love these tires.

Was thinking about trying the Irazr's on the front next.

Haha, I think this is a coal region thing... How long do you think it will take until everyone else starts running them?? Vamps will destroy any other tire out there, hands down.

for dirt tires i got a set of razr 2's i love 'em they hook up great but they are kinda heavy not to bad though just heavier than some but the traction and wear of these tires are worth the little extra weight.

I was gonna message you on this.. I love the look.. and I mostly ride trails here in VT.. occasional sand but not enough to call for paddles.. still have to trail it to get to the sand.. I was wondering what size tires you were running up front with 22's in the rear. Thanks!

Turf Tamers are pretty wicked. Mostly trail riding and stuff. A guy I ride with used to have Holeshots and talked me into the Turf Tamers. I never had Holeshots but he said the TT hook up better.
