Lock Tite on reed petal screws?

Recommended Posts

I've seen this covered before but the search turned up nothing. I put different reeds on the cages. The screws and lock washers have only been removed once since I replaced them. Should I add a dab of Lock Tite or tighten it down without it? I'd rather not use it if I don't have to. All opinions are appreciated. Thanks alot guys.

no need for it really they will be fine without locktight just tighten them down good without stripping them

i disagree, I would put locktight blue on them. If you need to you can get them out easily. If you loose a screw in your cylinder your fucked. Be on the safe side and use a tiny bit.

I disagree as well. A little locktight is nothing more then a little insurance. Anything to insure no foreign shit in my cylinders!
