540 Shee
Sup, I was just trying to do a quick cost estimate of what it would take $$$wise to get a bone stock Shee up to the 80-85Hp range. If you could give me mods and prices that'd be helpful too. I'd like to keep the stock cylinders if at all possible. Include porting, pipe, carbs etc. and prices for each. 540S

Set of Shearer, or CPI pipes, PWK 35's. crank 400-450 from jeff at fast drag port job 300-500 depending on builder carbs 350 or so from jeff Pipes 400-650 depending on where you get them from. Cascade is the high end of the scale but they have a reall nice chrome jobs that doesnt peel. Stroker domes for a cool head 100 bucks. josh

shee4speed
don't forget about the clutch and shift star and suspension to make it rideable.
Bansh-eman
don't forget about the clutch and shift star and suspension to make it rideable. bingo! the most important thing is the suspension your motor can be as big and bad as you want, if your suspension cant hold the power to the ground it wont matter
06BaNsHeE
PLus cool head, and INtakes to work with the bigger carbs,Youll need a better clutch also,
Machwon
Starting from scratch with a stock shee would run you $2-2500 to get it done right. Pipes, carbs, reeds, head mods, porting with a fresh top end job. Yes, like others have said 80 hp will be handful to say the least and you won't be able to put it all on the ground in the first 4 gears without a swingarm or wheel bar. My duner is set up this way and with a stock swinger, but you have to use the clutch alot in the first 3 gears. I can PM or e-mail if you need some help getting one done. gregrob
Dune ported 4mil by HJR on alky with ALL the supporting mods would get you there. I spent 1500 in just the motor and I already had carbs, pipes, cool head, shocks, etc. Still gotta buy a swinger and some better tires. Little bastard wheelies like no other in the first 4 gears now lol
Bansh-eman
there is absolultly no need to put it on alky to get 80 hp. much less a duner. It pretty stupid to put a duner on alky as you cut your ride time in half. There is lots of other ways to get the power your looking for without going to alky. Animalman294
My estimate would be $2500-$4000 depending on how much of it you wanted to do right the first time......... There are some extra's that need to be added when you are talking about that hp range.
