pabansheematt
can anybody give me some tips on how to wheelie a shee. i want to learn so bad. Get a banshee that runs good, and then and only then. Give it lots of gas!
Bansheeb0y5505
I don't know what to tell ya, I just sit a little farther back on the seat and nail it, and then try and hold it balanced from there. Just takes practice, trial and error. I actually find doing standing wheelies easier on the 400ex, and sitting wheelies easier on the banshee. Just the way they feel. Bansh-eman
get moving slow in second, give it a little gas and let off, you will feel the front end dip, then hit the gas and shift your weight back. the front will come up, then the hard part is learning to hold your balance and use the gas and brake to stay up
Colby
I always tell everyone thats asks this question to SLOWLY put it on its grab bar and let yourself fall off to see that it doesnt hurt. You will feel aot better about it and it makes finding the balance point much easier. Edited June 21, 2008 by Colby
njbanshee
i agree with colby. you can only get hurt doing fast wheelies but then your talking about shifting while in a wheelie and thats after much practice. If you have a hard time getting it to stand up, drop your but down on the seat as you hit the throttle.
locogato11283
whoever says you cant get hurt doing slow wheelies is full of shit. i was riding a slow wheelie one time on my 450 in like 2nd gear in the grass. hit a little bump and the bike went back and the grab bar hit. it caught and flipped the 450 end over end a couple times. bent an a arm, my grab bar and packed my silencer full of shit. i thought i broke my fuckin wrist. moral of the story is, you CAN get hurt doing wheelies in any gear at any speed. Yuppers, most times my friend rolls his 3 wheeler is when he is in 1st or second gear....I know it's a 3 wheeler, but still. You can get hurt pretty easily no matter what speed. JasonsBanshee
I've seen more people get hurt going slow, playing around on kids quads/ bikes or just goofing off than people actually out riding. LOL Edited June 21, 2008 by JasonsBanshee
Colby
I've seen more people get hurt going slow, playing around on kids quads/ bikes or just goofing off than people actually out riding. LOL I've never seen anyone riding with me, or people just there riding that have been hurt from doing a slow wheelie(on known terrain). No you cant go off a cliff or mountains doing it. But the only time i've seen people get hurt wheeling is on dirt at high speeds .... i'll still stand by my statement that you will be more confident and wheelie better after you fall off ..... I wasn't directing my comment at yours by any means. I was just saying. A friend of mine was warmin up his sons 80 dirtbike and started goofing around trying to wheelie it and ended up falling off breaking his colar bone and messing up an ankle. LOL I do agree with you that falling off a wheelie at high speeds is not good for the rider or the bike. LOL
Washburn
good tips guys. You cant be afraid of the Banshee or you will never be able to ride a wheelie. I think Banshees are centered suitablie for wheelies. Just start hard and never look back. It wont bite you and if you want to learn that bad you will be doing them tomorow. You should also learn how to powerslide around corners or just bust a Uie in the middel trail!
2bzy2p
get v-force reeds makes constent power and helps tremendously for wheelies!
