robert30
hello guys im new to the scene and could use some help. I picked up a 95 banshee for what i t hought was a steal. It has aftermarket carbs fmf pipes a 4 mil stroker crank and a new top end. I mix it at 32 to 1 but keep fouling plugs. the last time i put a new set in it would run but like crap. it pops out the right cylinder all the time. I pulled both plugs and the one on the right side looks like the electrode was pushed in a little. any suggestions would be appreciated
Bansheeb0y5505
Sounds like the jetting is wayyyyyyyyyyy to rich. Do you know what size carbs they are? He mightve put real big carbs on. Trying going down on the main jet and move the clip up on the needle one or two notches, and see if it gets better. As far as a bent electrode, my guess is maybe the crank is out of wack the the piston is hitting the spark plug.. Or possibly he's using the 4mil without the spacer plate at the bottom. Not to sure about this. But definitely check your jetting.

robert30
hello guys i know whats wrong with my banshee. I did a compression test and the right side had none. I took the head off and the outer part of the piston is broke off. The cylinder wall is scarred to i have to get it bored right? The head has fragments on it from the piston. Can i get that fixed or do i need a new head? If i have to get another head should i just inverst in a cool head and if so what brand>? Any help is greatly appreciated? lowbuckracing
Sounds as if a deal is going sour fast, first you need to see if its a 4 mill, before you buy a head. You have to have the head cut for it if you use a stock one or buy a noss or coolhead with cut domes for a 4 mill and at what compression you want to run will determine the cc domes you need, also need to know what the rod length is on the 4 mill 110 or 115.Check it now while its down and may save you alot of headache later..JB
