fastrthnu
yep i lift everyday.. you need a training program or anything? I started training again about 4 months ago from taking off about a year and I cant get any shape in my back. Ive got a little size on even though my lats could be wider too. This picture is from about a month ago, but still about the same. I threw a few other recent ones in below too. I switch up ever time light, heavy close grip wide grip, deads, pull ups, cable pull downs, dumbell/barbell rows ect. Just cant get any detail to save my life. racer
this weight lifting thing seems like a lot of unnecessary work. i mean, picking heavy things up for fun? lol
05.Banshee.SE
I would like to think of myself as a weight lifter...and I thought I was one until I saw your pics, haha. I lifted during high school, up until graduation, when I factured 2 bones in my hand by getting pissed off and punching a concrete column, lol. I took about a year because I went off to college, working 30 hours a week, etc. I started again about a month ago. No where near your size though. NitroTate
I hit it every day, kind of in an off season right now so I'm high on BF% but I've been into it for over 14 years. I worked for EAS for 6 years until we got bought out and laid off... FUCKERS! Best place I've ever worked for! I got laid off 2.5 years ago and I still have a stockpile of supplements..hehe! Oh maybe I didn't mention I was the Returns/Credits Manager...hehe

bbcmudtruck
If you want definition in your back, do a couple of sets of over handed pull ups on back day, and cut your body fat a few percent. I can't see the pics you posted so I have know idea where you are in training. For a pre workout I use the NoXplode. For an after workout protein I use Syntha6. Its by far the best tasting protein I have ever used, and the Xplode is made by the same company. Be sure to take a mulitvitamin and drink plenty of water while using the Xplode. I tried NoVapor and wasn't impressed with it at all. It made my stomach upset and the pumps were no where near the pumps I get from Xplode. I see plenty of shape in your back if you ask me...wide, solid. Only thing you could do to get more shape would be to cut more...lower your bf% a little like BBC said. Doesn't look like you have much (if any) to lower though, haha. If you've ever run anything illegal, you won't get much definition...you'll be huge, but won't get cut until you're off cycle, due to water bloat. (I'm not saying you are doing anything illegal, and I'm not reccommending it...I'm just stating fact here.) I stick with Whey Protein, and I have taken Creatine before. Creatine will give you a fuller look (not much, but a little) because it floods your muscles with more water...it also helps recovery time because of that. It will also make your muscles harder. It's not for some people though...you'd have to try it and see if it's for you or not. By your looks though, you already knew all this... Or maybe what you took was fake. If you wanna see a huge difference i would take 1 cycle. Your gonna lose some of the muscle you gained after the cycle but your gonna keep more than what you had before you started. If you eat right and work out you eventually get where you wanna be. I would never do it again because i abused it when i was young ages 19 thru 22. Now at age 25 i got two rotator cups banged up and a fucked up liver. If you ever decide to go that route remember thats like any other drug its ADDICTING. To end my paragraph here i dont think you need it anyways. My first cycle was 500mg Test Enanthate 10 weeks, 4 weeks Dianabol front loading the Test. PCT with Clomid and Nolvadex. Test E and Dianabol cause you to bloat a lot (aromatisation--the rate at which it converts to estrogen). (Generally...better keep PCT on hand incase any gyno shows up during cycle.) Water = not as much definition. But everyone responds differently to it...you may not bloat at all, or you may bloat like a mother fucker. That's gonna decide how much definition you get. You're going to get "puffy" before you get cut. Winstrol for example generally puts on lean mass w/o aromatising. But I think it sucks. Yeah, you'll be huge...yeah, steroids work like a mother fucker. Edit- Dont confuse "puffy" with "fat." That's not what I mean.
wannashee20
my dad and brother have been big into lifting for as long as I can remember, but what they use is protien whey, cellutech and my brother took some creatine at one time but stoped because of the long term side effects. Im sure you already know but if you use creatine you do it in time periods like about 4weeks on and like 2or 3 off, something like that not sure if those are the right time periods, but that is just an example. My brother lived with a guy that went hard core into body building even went to some shows and placed but I think he loaded up on protien whey and vitamins. maybe some creatine not sure though, I can find out though if you want? sredish
I train regularly. BSN Syntha 6 is probably the best 'high-end' protein you can get. Use that for shakes, then use bars, the Supreme bars rock as well as the Oh Yea bars, to help change it up. I also use Creatine, a daily vitamin (GNC Megaman) and a caffeine burner (VPX Meltdown). The Meltdown deal works, helps give me a killer sweat and pump during training and does help burn a little bit of the fat. My regimen: A Shake and a banana first thing when I get up Then 2.5 grams of Creatine in the morning, along with 2 Meltdown pills and my daily vitamin. 10am - Breakfast I'll usually have a bar between breakfast and lunch 12:30pm - lunch and 2 Meltdown pills 3pm, a shake or bar. Early evening, dinner and 2.5 grams of Creatine, 2 Meltdown pills and my daily vitamin. Sometimes I'll have a light 20g protein shake before bed (casein protein only) on workout days and between workout days, not on the weekends. On workout days, I train in the afternoon. I'll have 2 Meltdown pills and 2.5g of Creatine in the morning like normal. Then 20 min before workout, I'll have 3 of the Meltdown pills and a light light shake. Then immediately after workout, I'll have a banana and a shake or some sort of carb/protein shake, as well as the other 2.5g of Creatine. I've tried the NO supplements with no affect, their a waste IMO. There's only a few real necessary foods/supplements: Vitamins Creatine Protein Caffeine The very most important part of training is food. You HAVE to eat right, and enough to get anywhere and that includes enough Protein and the right Carbs. You can almost add 50 to 60% gains in a years time to a person who is eating right vs. one that's not. Also, the Meltdown pills are an easy way to get a regular amount of caffeine, plus they have some thermogenic effects to help you sweat and get a good pump for training. If your not super resistant to caffeine, then start slow on it and work to higher amounts. It recommends 3 a day, whether its 1 3x a day or no more than 3 at one time. I don't follow that but I have a HUGE tolerance. When I first started on Meltdown, I lost 9 pounds in 6 weeks not paying attention. After the 6 weeks, I stopped that cycle and gained back 4, then started a new cycle and have been eating more to help offset those losses. It's done a pretty good job helping me lean out, maintain and add mass. Edited June 20, 2008 by sredish

Water is a necessecity to muscles and creatine is a necessity to ATP production. Creatine supplementation will not increase the peak amount of force you can generate, just the amount of time you can exercise at near maximum capacity. An increase in peak force generation, however, will come later as new muscle proteins are added in response to the greater exercise stimulus afforded by creatine supplementation. As a side effect of creatine is the potential for added weight. When I'm off my cycle of Creatine, I'll drop 5 or 6 pounds, and when I start back up, I'll gain 7 or 8. This weight will also transfer into your training. IMO, creatine is not necessary for someone working out and getting in shape, but IMO it IS necessary for someone who is building mass, who is in serious weight training and bulking. But, like any supplement, it affects everyone differently.

But, like any supplement, it affects everyone differently. yea, ATP production is important. I spend 3/4 of the year bulking and the rest cutting. I have a rapid metabolism (ectomorph) and need alot more intake than most people. Cutting isnt a problem, but I think its retarded when people start and say Im just going to start by cutting. MOst people I have seen in the gym that do that for years look exactly the same as the first day. I train 3 months straight 5 days a week one muscle group a day except I do my shoulders, hamstrings and calves all in one day. Then take 1 month off, no creatine, low salts, lower but not really low carbs and caleries. During bulking I remain below 12%bf anyways. On time I try to ingest 4000 caleries, 400g carbs, 350-375g protein a day. Here is a general idea of what I eat, all though I do get out and eat good sometimes too. Eventually this diet will change again, its just what fits at the time being. breakfast 6:30am tuna and or eggs with oatmeal, with bananna or stawberries break 9:30 choc. milk, metrx cookie dough bar, nutterbutters. Lunch 12:00 Subway 6"double meat roast beef or ham and turkey on wheat with an oatmeal rasin cookie or 2 3:30 other half of sub with pineapple or somekind of fruit 4:15 3 scoops n.o. explode, 2 scoops cellmass 6:30 post workout cyto gainer 4 scoops 1/2 whole milk 1/2 water with oatmeal, 10g glutamine, peanut butter 7:30 dinner some sort of huge slab of meat, with complex carbs (brown rice sweet potato ect) and cold veggies 9:30 ice cream, pepparoni and cheese, rasin bran, milk, other crap. I wake up a few times over night and drink alot of milk.
