the doug1789
on the inside of the rear rims i got multiply nuts that stripped and i cant get them off.i bought a nut cracker...it didnt crack the nut it simply cut into it(and im afraid to put it much farther in fear it well mess up the treads on the hubs) then i bought those craftman nut removers.....they dont work either because even with the extenions they just strip it even more. Then i did the old use a sockey smaller.....and no surpise it stripped it more...So now i hav like 5 nuts that are almost perfect circles. soo just to remove 5 fuc*en nuts i spend over 130 dollars and still cant get em off....someone with terrefic mcguiver ideas please tell me (mind you ALL of them are circles now and no socket well grip them)i tried the wedge and them hammer as well, all that did was shave some metal off the nut Edited June 8, 2008 by the doug1789

Carfully cut off one side of the nut, alongside the bolt as close as possible to the threads. They should be easier to hammer off once you
KaosBanshee44
Did you try a small pair of vice grips that could fit in the wheel well and just try to get them started atleast. That's the only thing i can think of unless you get a dremel and straighten the corners out but would take you some time.

fastrthnu
Ive got you beat, a few days ago I was riding and then it felt like I slipped into neutral, but my drive gear came off cos the nut came loose, but the tranny shaft threads are stripped not so I only have to take apart the whole friking thing to fix it.

Duneman101
go get some of that PB blaster shit next time, it works great. I had and axle nut that was stuck, i used every trick under the sun to get it loose. except pb blaster and cutting the damn thing off. so i bought some of that shit sprayed it on there, then waited 20 or so minutes then sprayed more on waited another 20 came back and it came right off.... I was like WTF.... it is good stuff.
jbooker82
Dip the socket in Valve Grinding Compound or Valve Laping Compound. It helps the socket bite. It works wonders on the philips screws that hold the carb bowls on too. Allen head bolts that are about to round out as well.
