Face Posted June 6, 2008 Report Share Posted June 6, 2008 So I left for work this morning at 4:00am and my bike was in my driveway under a tarp (I usually keep it in my sisters garage but I moved it to my house because I am taking it to the shop today.) I saw it at 4. my wife called me at 5:30 and told me that my neibor came over, woke her up and told her that some dude tried to yank my bike. Apperantly the guy pushed it out of my driveway and down the road almost a quarter of a mile, my neibor say him recignized my bike and scared the dude off. What the Hell is going on when people will steal a four wheeler right out of someones yard ! The cops came and we did a report and the whole deal. I wouldve been hella mad if not for my neibor. I live in a pretty nice neighborhood where I know all of my neighbors, and I still refuse to leave my bike outside, unattended or at least not chained to something. I live in a pretty nice neighborhood, and mine stays in the garage, chained and bolted to the floor. There is also an alarm sensor on my big garage door. Any kind of deterrent would have helped. People don't go to the geto to steal nice shit. They go to the places where people feel the safest. Takes just a second to catch someone slipping. yamaha_daniel Posted June 6, 2008 Report Share Posted June 6, 2008 well that would suck if he was to get away with your bike but get this story........about a week ago me and my dad finished putting a metal roof on a house we got paid and then today i get on the bank site to check it. well i look and its in the hole about 1000 the a$$es cancled the check they wrote us so now we have to go to court b/c they dont want to pay us for a job we got done perfect. There are a couple of dope houses nearby with late-night mischief going on all the time. Like what happened to you I mainly worry about early morning theft after I leave for work. I have alot of security, but I still worry. You were very fortunate your neighbor caught that dirtbag in the act before he got away with it.
