Rear brake problem

Recommended Posts

My rear brake feels really spongy. It bottoms out easily but still has some pressure. If I adjust the master cylinder then the lever goes up to the crank case. I bled out the system and there seems to be no leaks. Could there still be an air bubble in the line or does the master cylinder need to be rebuilt? Where can I get a rebuild kit?

Check your brake pads and make sure they aren't worn. Also make sure you have a block off plate to get rid of the parking brake that will give you problems.

Fill your resevior up and screw the cap back on and pump the brake a couple of times holding the lever down still open the bleeder and let the fluid out keep the lever down still and tighten the bleeder screw up and let off the brake pedal. repeat this a few times and never let your resevoir get down too much keep topping it up that will purge all air out of the brakes I have had to do this a few times before to make everything OK
