jerod187
no i totally agree with what you guys are saying and its understandable but you don gotta worry about me because ive never been to the dunes yet lol, but ya i know drinking and riding should be seperated because it COULD possibley endanger other people which isnt fare but like when just me and my buddies go to like a campsite i ll ahve a drink and maybe just like ride to the bathroom lol wich yes i know its not any better but ya so anyways, ive been looking at alotof banshees in oregon/seattle and it seems like you cna pick em up pretty cheap so im just trying to sell me bike right now then i plan on going and picking one up! so far heres what id liek to get either with everything or ill do it myself: id like the shee to be around 65 horse (not sure if thats overestimating though?) - cool head - toomy t5s - bigger carbs like 35mm or something - dune port - wiseco pro lite pistons - cdi box - twin clamp on air filter - AND I WANT THE plastics intact not cut lol - +2+1 A arms - ither stock swingarm or +2 but no bigger and id like either black or blue plastic
jharader
Talking shit? poooooooooooooooot yup yup the squirts if i can legally have a beer and drive my truck i can legally have a beer and ride my shee.. lemme point out i said A BEER, im not saying u should by any means be getting lit up and ride, that is lame and irresponsible, but so is recomending a 700lb atv to somebody  as for the putting around issue, it wont hurt anything, period, carbon buildup imo isnt "hurting" anything, spinning it 10grand up a hill, now thats "hurting" something :woot: friction is friction, the more it moves the more it grooves
SQUIRREL MASTER
a buddy of mine lost his leg and killed a married couple on thier motorcycle for being drunk and riding on the street. my buddy is doing 10 years in jail and is charged with man slaughter and all types of other charges. im not saying thats gonna happen to you or any one else thats has a beer but before you drink anything think about what your doing. like the beer commercials say DRINK RESPONSIBLY. MILO
there are so many things wrong with this thread. i don't understand how people think that you can't have a good time without drinking. if you want to drink, whatever bud, if you want to ride, great, but don't mix the two. it's a recipe for disaster for yourself or others so don't be surprised if people are offended by it. you can't put around on a shee? i've ridden with groups of nothing but ute's who poke around. granted i rip a little here and there just because i get bored but you can trail ride a banshee at lower speeds if shee's tuned right. now i'm not saying out of the power band for a long time, but i bet i rarely got into 3rd gear. i wouldn't suggest a shee for your ride if that's your style but it can be done. yeah, it's a go fast bike, but it will survive a joy ride occasionally. don't buy a 700lb quad because it's dangerous? it's like anything else, it's only as dangerous as the rider makes it. i have a 700 grizz which i love to ride as much as my shee. yeah, it's a tank compared to the shee, but then again i'm not out doing wheelies, donuts, jumping, hill climbing, ripping and tearing either. i'm out for a joy ride and to find some mud to play in, plow snow, or take the wife or kids for a ride. so many of you guys are so narrow minded. you think that the banshee is a drag or dune bike only, because that's all you do with it. you think that everyone drinks, anytime, anyplace, because that's what you do. you act like riding balls to the wall on the banshee is the one and only great ride out there and anything else is retarded. grow up fella's. hey bud, if you want to trade your bike for a shee go for it. but your reasons for doing it seem pretty lame and irresponsible. if i saw you poking around on a shee with a beer in one hand, i'd want to run you off the trail myself because you deserve it. if you want a quad to haul your woman on, that's great. the shee is not the best option for that, but it can be done. there are times that i wish i had a bike again, and times that i wouldn't trade my shee for anything. but that's just it, you do what's best for you, not what some of the wag-jags on here tell you to. onebanshee
I by no means condone drinking and riding, but just because you pack some beers when you go riding does not make you irresponsible. When I go riding its to get away from the everyday grind of working 5-days a week. So YES i usually pack some beers when I ride, and I LOVE IT. When we go to the dunes we bring cases of beer, and pack them every ride we go on. What i am trying to say, Its not alcohol/drugs that make people dumb, its the person behind the bars. I have seen just as many sober idiots as drunk ones, so get off your horse and quit trying to rule people lives with your own ideals. I live my life how I want, I could care less what other people think of how I live my life. love ONE

jamebo
Hey guys ive had my 2005 crf450 for around a year or just over, but i cant decide because i want a quad for when i go camping so i can just ride around with a beer (ya i know not smartest idea) slowly or when i hvae to double my gf and with my bike its fast but its so much work lol, only con with the shee i ahve is the no reverse thing but i jus kinda want some opinions on what i should do lol, i think i found a 1995 banshee for 3600 so im hoping if i trade hell gimme some cash around 800 or so if i got the shee what should i spend the 800 on? anyways thanks for all the help and tips You ought to keep the bike and save up some money for a Shee, then you'll have the best of both worlds. A quad and a bike, 2 and 4 strokes.
Bansheeb0y5505
The shee is not meant for what your doing at all, and that's how it is. Plus, I highly doubt the other campers will enjoy you whipping around on a piped two-stroke Believe me, its all old son of a bitches there. Heres my recomendations that you trade for. They are all four-strokes, that you can puts around all day on, or get on hard when you want to. -400ex (05-08 has reverse) -z400 (all have reverse) -kfx400 (all have reverse) -dvx400 (all have reverse) -Raptor 660 (All have reverse) -Raptor 700 (If you can find one) Those are some of the quads you need, when it comes to putting around. They're also quick if you push them. Now, if you want something with more of a rush, heres what i recomend. Now, there still like to be rev'd, but easier to put around on then the banshee. peterlocal22
enough is enough the guy was asking about trading his dirt bike for a shee. if you ask me, get it. you will love it because there alot of fun. ride alone or with your girl on the back. thats why i got mine because i wanted something with four wheels but a 2 stroke. this way i can go camping, four wheeling alone with my girl, in snow summer whatever. there great all the time. now i know everyone will disagree with this but at least half of you who are saying having a beer and riding is really a bad idea probably at one time did it so back off. finally i too am sick of hearing that the banshee was designed for drag racing. yes you can make a banshee a great drag racer but they were not by any means built to drag. in order to build a comptitve drag bike alot of changes need to be made. back to the subject, buy the bike you will love it no matter what you use it for unless you need it to plow snow, lol now thats a different story
2K1Banshee350
yeah these days nothings fun without being impaired and puking but i just hope that when the guy does ride it like a banshee likes to be ridden that he isnt expecting speed similar to his bike, cause u'll need a decently built one to be close
2Smoker
first of all - get the banshee you'll love it second of all - it's not the end of the world if you drink some beer or smoke a doob and go ripping I don't care what anyone says peace out
