just rereading my post think i need to add some things, im really wanting to know if you all think this set up will work for what im looking to do i useally do my own work on quads this is my first banshee, i know there rep and just want to know this machen will hold its own with the newer toys out there. my last ride was a old blaster hooked up faily stock and would kick a little a$$ of its own. i built that motor from the gears on up. what i know about the banshee is a lot of here say and just looking for awnsers from thouse in the know on this machien it sound like they are a little picky on air fuel and timing but cant say for my self. but would like your alls oppinion

First of all, suspension is going to be the biggest thing separating the newer quads from yours performance wise, but the aftermarket can address that quite well. You may want to consider doing a conversion to upper A-arms from the J-arms for strenght. I personally wouldn't recommend the 2 into 1 intake because the very small amount of low end power gained isn't worth the huge top end loss IMO. A set of 28mm flatslides would be my choice for a trail bike. The pipes you picked are a excellent trail pipe. Other mods you may want to consider are a timing advance plate and noss cool head to give the old shee some bottom end pep. You could also have a nice trail port done to give you more power accross the board. Hope this all helps.

thanks for your imput, never thought of the jarm issue. ive looked at both sides of the single carb issue already got the parts to use so im going to try them out, may be a waist but dont mind testing it ourt for my self. im not really looking to do tripples with this thing and it will never see any dunes, well maybe glimas a few of my buddies are trying to set up a trip this comming winter still havent decided if i want to do that one or not im just not wanting completly smoked in the trails and hoping this set up will acomplish this. ive not had a shee before just got this thing was planing on getting the new outlaw525 straight axel by polaris but chose the the banshee on its rep and the welth of aftermarkets for it. besides got to love two stroke it may need new rings every so often but to pack that amount of punch for a price off 1000 compared to 8000 cant beat or pass on that and still play in the same power area and beat the guys that just art to good at it with and older machien it may not doo the dunes but hay dont live in the desert so the woods are what i got set it up for its enviroment

oh forgot to ask about the heads that you spoke of ive been doing some searching but not sure of the advantages of the new heads what do they do for the bike, sorry been running air cooled toooooo long

what are some things i should keep in mind with liquid cooling im no expert on this in any way and really want imput on this so im not frying this motor. its still same in cooling though isnt it the faster you go the better you are?

Where at in Iraq?? I spent a year deployed there between Najaf and Karbala, never been someplace that smelled so bad all the time. Kuwait and Saudi would be some awesome dunes to ride! About the heads, the biggest bennefits are the interchangeable domes so you can adjust your compression and they have larger coolant capacity...Plus they look good! As far as concerns, Keep a good eye on your coolant level in the radiator between rides and keep in mind that the banshee doesn't have a fan so it will overheat easily in hot weather when riding slow tight trails, gotta stretch the shee's legs once in awile and cool her down.
