nick t Posted May 5, 2008 Report Share Posted May 5, 2008 ok i have an 04 banshee with t-6's and dyno jet kit i have been sick for a few weeks and havent ridin. i started it up today just to start it and let it run and there was smoke coming out of only the right side exhaust was still coming out of the left just no smoke. is this a problem? Wildcardracing Posted May 5, 2008 Report Share Posted May 5, 2008 If it persists after the bike has warmed up you could have a bad right crank seal sucking oil from the transmission, what color is the smoke? If it is white you could also have a head gasket leaking coolant into that cylinder. Some other things to check are carb sync (one side will run richer if the slide is raised further) and check that your float isn't sticking (if you have a stuck float and leave the fuel on when parked it can leak fuel into your crankcase causing a rich condition on startup). jkross Posted May 5, 2008 Report Share Posted May 5, 2008 Had the same problem last year...one of our fine Banshee-HQ'ers came up with some simple advice that fixed the problem and didn't cost anything...clean the carbs.
