tundish2800 Posted May 9, 2008 Report Share Posted May 9, 2008 hey all i need some help in making my shee faster i have raced a z400, 400ex, and another banshee and all of them beat me ,,,,,i am experenced in riding but i think i need to change something on my shee i have this...13 tooth front sprocket ..42 rear , 18inch holeshot sx rear i have bored .100 reed spacers.. boost bottle . i first raced the banshee and lost well that was ok because it was modded bad but when i lost to the z400 and the 400ex i gt pi$$ed please any help is appreciated.......i let the guy with the banshee ride t and he said it was the lowest geared abnshee he has ever rode humm.. yamaha_daniel Posted May 11, 2008 Author Report Share Posted May 11, 2008 im pretty sure my problem is the 18's and the wrong sprocket gearing .....also ive learned that there is a slot on your header for the o ring to go in ..lol you dont just slide it on the cylinder......this wasnt my falt i took my pipes off today and cleaned them up and i started to chip off the carbon buildup on the inside if the header and found that this is where the oring fits lol i felt kinda like a dumb ass but i got it back together and it sounds better and doesnt leak anymore so i feel that this could help my compression-dan Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Shaved heads, Ported cylinders, 28mm carbs, Toomy T-5, ect, k & N w/ open box, stock front end, stick swinger, and anything you can think of, ect... I now have a drag 4mil cub and stripped all of the stock stuff. I have a stock axle too and more goodies... Oh my trail bike ran 8.90's in the 1/8th mile at 75ish mph and I weigh 250lbs. My garage is full of parts and the old lady is bitching as normal! Call me at 540-455-2779 if you need parts. Bansheeboy6 Posted May 25, 2008 Report Share Posted May 25, 2008 atleast your honest. i would personally never mention that. sell the pipes you currently have and buy better pipes and get some stock banshee tires. good pipes and stock tires you should be beating that 400 all day and you wont spend a bunch of money. if your problem is driving then race him rolling on second gear and make sure your on your powerband. good luck. howdo u get on your power band. i mean i cdan beat a bunch of fourwheelers. but my powerband dont happen all the time. i never get this all of a sudden punch of power. i just plane out fly. my friend says he gets a wheelie in 5th gear from it. i dont. and i can outrace him.
