NOS_350x
Does anyone have any dyno numbers for these pipes? CPI PTR T5's I know everyones OPPINIONS on them but i want acutal numbers. pipes will act diffrent to diffrent mods, and porting so everyones oppinions arnt really that good. Just because FMF's work good on your bike dosetn mean that toomy's wont work better, You have to try diffrent things. I have PTR's and love them Tryed some toomys and they absoutly suck no bottom no mid top it hit hard on top and fell right on its face in the overrev with about a 800 rpm range of useable power. I have some brand new cpi's in the mail.
Snopczynski
I know pc's on a 4mill 396cc , ported 350, and 7 mil 460cc cheetah motor make more torque and hp than ptr mids, and a dynoport 2 into 1 on a crank dyno.

Well it sounds like you tried the PTR's and the Toomey's, and if you have the CPI's in the mail, then you should be able to figure out which ones perform the best on your motor without dyno sheet's. Because all three pipes will have to be put on the same motor in order to get accurate results so that they have the same mods............. mopar1rules
i always thought the t5's were suppose to be awesome for the average trail rider? i thought they were suppose to have that midrange punch too?
Snopczynski
the t5 seemed to be a mid-top pipe for dune bikes in my opinion.

Wildcardracing
If you thought the toomeys had no bottom or mid, I seriously doubt you're gonna like the CPI's. I love mine and they have excellent top end and over rev, but lack quite a bit down low. A lot will also depend on engine setup, but the CPI's are definately more of a top end pipe. shanYE west
well.. my take is that dyno sheets of pipes are about as usefull as people's opinions when comparing pipes. Unless its your motor that the pipes are being dyno'ed on, your gonna get all kinds of different results from the same pipes.. So.. I tend not to read anything into the "pipe dyno shootout" type stuff... they can make them things say what ever they want for the highest paying player. Still, pipe length, size and taper will determine the power characteristics. As well as port durations and other engine mods. CPI's are a high reving pipe, with less low end than the other pipes mentioned in this post.
shanYE west
I was refering to using dyno sheets from another bike to compare pipes for another bike. When used in that manor its just like someone's opinion. I wasn't questioning the power characteristics of the CPI's. Yes.. They are Topend oriented pipes.. But.. I have seen some CPI's have a very strong midrange. That doesn't mean I think its a midrange pipe. Its just my opinion that this guy didn't want know. He wanted dyno sheets. Every motor is different and what works for one might not work for the next. So don't read too much into the dyno sheets. Thats all I was trying to get at. dirtydownunder
not only is every engine differant, every dyno is differant so atleast if the dyno can be the same youd have 1 less varible missing.
