hey guys i just returned to my dyno tuner about my bike not quad..lol http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/twin...ent=mito006.jpg

my set up is 4mm stroker crank big bore vito sleaved cylinders ported at 70mm performance pipes hand build by a gp pipe builder 28mm flat slide powerjet carbs uni filters only pulled 60hpr and 29 pounds of torque i was expecting 70-80hpr mark . the funny think is that i was originally running an rz350 engine..and replaced it with this set up..the rz made the same power basically stock..the tuner also agrees it should make more power..ingition timming is stock and he is in the middle of advancing it 3-4 degrees im told that this will have a dramatic effect on over all hpr and help would be much appreciated thanks..

I agree that bike is SICK. Excellent job on it. Definitely advance the timing, what's done on the head? Reed setup? How's the porting compare to the RZ's? If it's close, especially in terms of exhaust port height when the PV's are wide open, it's gonna make about the same power just hit harder (well hopefully more with the 4 mil but not like exponentially more; without the RZ's powervalves the power will be even more like a lightswitch...hang on heh). Good luck.

I like all the motorcycle pictures you have. I want a 350 or 500 Yamaha 2 stroke street bike. Haven't found one yet. I wonder what kind of numbers I could get out of it. Looks like they are limited on expansion chamber size for the pipes.

I never had much luck getting big numbers out of big bore sleeves. I do better with stock sleeves or after market mono type blocks like cubs.

yeah we are pretty lucky here in australia..we got every road going 2 stroke ever made, they r getting hard to find now ..but still by no means rare ive been ridding for about 12 yrs and only 2 strokes they are just alot more fun.. my mechanic compare my dyno with a rz350 ported with chambers he just did which made 70hpr but the power was very lineal..almost 4 stroke like ..thats what i didnt want..i dont like power valve u miss out on too much of that powerband kick mine hit 6 tho and shot straight up..:) i have a friend he hsa a banshee stock jugs some pipes and reeds and he is makin 57hpr..so i was a lil disapointed..we will see tomorrow with the timming..

What kind of port durations are you running on the 4mil? Do you have the blue prints on the pipe? What kind of dome configuration are you running?

I'm not an expert but I can get 80hp on gas 4 mils. PM me if you want to take it off line or even care to talk about it.

Agreed you just take away too much transfer area with the larger sleeves.....they can run......but you will usually make more power with stock size sleeves.

got a 77 rd400 for 600 bux off ebay, time slip on this was 12 flat when it smoked a piston, in the shop right now... know it has more potential than that n would love to put it on a dyno.. was curious however is that a factory frame?? doesnt look like it, appears to be a kit bike, where ya find that at? would love to build one :geek:

the chasis is a cagiva mito gp italian replica ..originally it had a 125cc single cylinder 2 stroke ,its hard to fault it..brembo brakes sash and marzzochi suspension i have polished and chromed various parts ..i also replaced the rear sub frame with a custom alloy frame and custom seat ,,also i like the naked look but originally it had a full faring

That grean bike is sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been looking for a ct90 with 150cc engine in it like yours Kevin. That thing was a blast and not too fast to get in trouble with. 107mpg would be nice too.

Look what I might be picking up soon. I will see if I can get it for the right price.
