Well like i said start off with those mods and see how much money you have left over to play for a nice port/bore job and cool head. Port jobs make all the difference but ofcourse you gotta get pistons after you bore out the jugs so your 2000 bucks you started out with goes FAST!!!

I agree with those mods, and i would include an agressive port job. Good tires are key to putting the power to the ground. If you have money left over a bigger set of carbs. tunning is priceless.

Haha i think were cutting into his pocket pretty deep now njbanshee lol Anyway hope you have a deep pocket cause the more money you have the faster you can go!

A bore job isn't necissary when getting ported, that is if the builder can control his tools. Here is a quick list of engine mods that should have you eating 450's for lunch! Forgive me if I leave anything out.

CPI pipes $500

Porting $300

Carbs w/

intakes and

cable $500

K&N pods $ 80

Timing Plate$ 40

cool head $260

VF3's $230

Top end

gaskets $ 25

TOTAL $1935

That should easily do the job!

If you are willing to spend a total of 10gs, do the above mods, then get some +2+1 a-arms, good shocks, and you will now handle way better also. Some good tires and then tear it up. if you plan to ride at night, throw a 200w stator and some bigger lights. Really fun bike
