slowblueshee2
Just curious what kind of results people are getting out the super cubs. Don't here much about them on here but all the builders advertise that they make more power.
shanYE west
they make about 3-5 more hp and a few ft. lbs of torque over the standard cub on average..
slowblueshee2
In other words they are not worth the extra headache since you have to bore the cases.

dajogejr
As well as extensive (read...expensive) porting to get them to run better than a cub, box stock they're par or slightly less. You're better off with the cub.
slowblueshee2
How do you guys thinks my ported stock cyl. 4mil. will fair against a 472 supercub that isn't ported?

Geoff
yes they do require a decent amount of porting because if I'm correct there the same cast as the cub just a 72mm bore with the studs moved out. So all the port and transfer timings need to be re-adjusted. My buddy runs one here in Oregon built by WK and it runs 3.8 all day on a 3-4 year old chassis. I know of only 1-2 4mil cubs out here that run high 3.9's so the track out here maybe a little slow compared to some others. They do cost more since nothing interchanges from a stocker or a normal cub so thats kinda a turn off.
Matt21
Had a 7mil supercub and loved it was much stronger than the standard 7mil cub (had one of these too) and made around 8 more hp than standard 7mil cubs built by Redline. Made 125hp at least every pull and I don't remember the torque off hand, I will do a supercub again for sure but in 10mil. Hope this helps... Matt.
