jacobaaron
Yes I painted the plastics myself. I painted them just like I paint plastic bumpers on cars with Dupont products. I have had no problems with peeling. I just wanted something different then solid colors.

714banshee380
so how do you paint plastic bumpers on cars?
jacobaaron
I started by washing the plastic with a good degreaser and pressure. Then I washed by hand with HOT soapy water. After that I wet sanded the plastics by hand with 400 grit then finished with 600 grit sandpaper. After sanding I washed the plastic again with HOT soapy water. Then I clean everything with a Dupont wax and grease remover. You have clean the plastics, this is the most important step. CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. After making sure everything is clean, I used a couple of products from Dupont that is made for painting plastics. The first I used was a precleaner that is wiped on and then wiped off. The next product was Plas-stik that is sprayed on with the paint gun. Then after all that I just used basecoat paint with a clearcoat. I think I had around 5 hours in the complete job.
