Twistedtrik
I just searched transmission oil and this is what I got. Search results I get irritated with all the questions and no one searching because of one big thing. A guy will come on and see a few topics about 2 into 1 jetting. He will say well that bike has stock reeds and mine has vforce reeds. Or he will just think his setup is different from the guy who asked before him. Base starting point for 2 into 1 jetting will only really be different if the physical cc size of the engine is different. Even then the difference with a 35mm pwk between a ported 350 and a 4 mill 396cc stroker is 1 main jet size and 1 needle clip position. So yeah the constant 2 into 1 jetting questions get old. Maybe I was just using oil. But I know 2 stroke didn't work either.
Bansh-eman
I was thinking and came up with why is everyone bitched up over getting asked the same question every day. yea, it gets old. i consider my self new to BHQ but if no one helped members then why are we here? yes, there is a search button but whats getting old is reading (USE THE SEARCH BUTTON). Everyone was thinking it but i said it. This is a stupid post in its self. There is a reason the search botton is there. to find topics that have already been covered. How many "is a boost bottle worth it" posts do we need? do a simple search and you will find your post with many replys to cover the topic. It's repetitive posts that clog up the servers and bog them down, we could come near loosing 1/3 of the posts to multipul thread of the same topic and still have all the info ever needed to sustain the info desired. nayr742003
i search and read alot of stuff on here also and to be honest i read so much at times i forget what i read last week. As for cing the same question over and over it doesnt get boring to me i think every time ilearn more and more about it. If i really need a question answered thought i go to one of the guys one here that know there shit and pm them instead of putting a new post up sometimes i think people should use there pm it what its there for in my mind. Im still new and still new and hvae tons and tons of questions and like someone said we can skip it if we dont want to answer it I think it would be kewl that we had a locked post section for the questions that always keep coming up. Bansh-eman
I think it would be kewl that we had a locked post section for the questions that always keep coming up. well we sort of do, the problem is if you want to lock that many post you have to scroll down for three mins just to get the new posts. I tried to tell Lee that we needed to have a clean up done and have one person preferably a admin or mod collect alll the usual posts and turn them into one big post or maybe a few medium size posts that are brokn into ez to find sections and pin to the top of the forum, then lock those posts so that you dont have to worry about 700 people leaving useless posts saying thanks you or whatever. just a heres the info and lockit.. but nothing ever came about . nayr742003
I dont mean to put them on top of new posts make a room called frequetly asked question or something like that just somewhere where newbs and pros and everyone can go and look at questions that are always on here. Bansh-eman
I dont mean to put them on top of new posts make a room called frequetly asked question or something like that just somewhere where newbs and pros and everyone can go and look at questions that are always on here. That wouldnt be a bad idea as well. I just think that pinning them at the top of thier respective forum would be better, that way if its a jetting faq then its at the top of the jetting forum. it would take a little longer to setup but in the end i think it would workout better
bbcmudtruck
I would like to see a table of contents of some sort in addition to freq asked questions. Each forum could have a table at the top as well as freq asked questions. While we are on the subject, could anyone make some sort of calculator or spread sheet for jetting? Any user could type in his mods, elevation, carbs etc. and poof :sorcerer: your recomended jetting pops out. Ryan
Animalman294
That jetting thing may not be a good idea, because the shee's all have different personalities. Just because one type of mod works great for one person in one area doesn't mean that it is going to act the same in another area with lets say similar mods, but with different manufacturer's of those mods........... Yes its stupid. thats why others think like i do. i`m not sayin the search button is bull shit i`m talking about the new members that cant find shit. i use the search even tho i go threw pages of crap to not find what i want. i look at it like this. if you can find the time to say use the search button. this subject has bin covered a million time. why not give your opinion or answer and then say ( use the search button for more info.) its a nicer way of not looking like a dick. RIPPEN
the search button isnt as magical as you make it out to be, you hardly ever find what your looking for or you have to go threw thousands of posts that may/may not have what you looking for, and thats if it doesnt come up with an error. the search button is like the wizeman high up in the mountains (wich you can climb with your banshee) that he can answer any question but you have to ask the right question. There you have it.. I agree 100%.. There has been many times when I go to search shit out and come up with nothing.. IMO our search feature SUCKS.. So whenever I hear someone bitching at another to use the search I think about how shitty it is.. Its so damn touchy that literally 3 outta 5 times it comes up with some sortta error. BellicoseBanshee
How many forum members does it take to change a light bulb? 1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed 14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently 7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs 1 to move it to the Lighting section 2 to argue then move it to the Electricals section 7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs 5 to flame the spell checkers 3 to correct spelling/grammar flames 6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid 2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp" 15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct 19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum 11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum 36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty 7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs 4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's 3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group 13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too" 5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy 4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?" 13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs" 1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again. 2 to say that they have already saw this post and it's "old stupid *****". BTW... I found this on another forum I enjoy, so please do not credit me with writing this.

(DICK) why should i retype thesme info that i just typed 3 days prior? you can use the search and find the fuking info without wasting the space on the server for the same bullhit posts. Yes we dont mind helping guys out here but god damn how mny fuking times does the boost bottle , reed spacers , cubs on trails, and other posts that get covered at least twice a month need to be redone? the new search sucks compared to the old one yes, but it still fuking works. its like you want to be lazy and just have other guys waste their time to retype the same bullshit. spend a little time and fuking search for it. Meat
why should i retype thesme info that i just typed 3 days prior? You don't have to retype anything.
