xXBlessedWithDeathXx
I was thinking and came up with why is everyone bitched up over getting asked the same question every day. yea, it gets old. i consider my self new to BHQ but if no one helped members then why are we here? yes, there is a search button but whats getting old is reading (USE THE SEARCH BUTTON). Everyone was thinking it but i said it.
Animalman294
I agree with ya, the newb's do need the help and most of the time I don't mind answering the same question over, and over, and over, oh did I mention over again. If the search were used then the clutter would be cleaned up. There is also the debates that get started by these similar questions, which is the best oil, tires, pipes, and the war is on between members, but sometimes its pretty funny to watch. But then again if its the same question then I do have the option of not answering it. Then nobody answers that question and then the person thinks that they are being ignored. Good luck newbe's, I'm there for ya, we were all there once ourselves............. Well except for if you are like Loco, dajogejr, FASTOYS, Chase, Bansh-eman, I think they all came out of the womb sounding like two strokes or knowing all about banshee's. You guys are a great wealth of information and if it weren't for you half of us would be still be trying to put our bikes back together. This is an awesome site................ I am offended (not really)............. If you PM me a question, I will answer it the same day most of the time, or I will refer you to dajogejr or BigRed350X. They are IMO the best technical resources on here.

NYUK
years ago there were banshee mega gods on this board, they have forgotten more than i could ever hope to know about banshees. when they would poke their head in once in a while, i would ask them why they left. a couple said they got tired of answering the same questions over and over.the search button don t hurt. i use it for a quick reference once in a while.meat would remember some of them. wheatchex, bansheebill, ect,
inthemail
i remember wheatchex, shit i remember NUYK's purple monster. what a shee. i use the search option alot, we should get to work on the wiki page. perhaps lay out the obvious things in link form like pipe comparisons. another thing i have thought about trying to start is just a post like a table of contents with links to some threads covering alot of the frequent topics. perhaps have it stickied and updated by a mod? as far as being pointed in a direction, the guys are good at reccomending ideal setups and i have no reason to argue with dajogejr. he replys to the point with the best idea for the riders post. good man
rusty1100
I like it when someone writes "I used the search", because then you know for sure that the person did try. Thanks to you guys I always use the search first, but sometimes its hard to find what your looking for after reading pages of non-related things. I unlike you guys am still a newb here, but it even irritates me to see the same questions like mentioned before about what oil, should I cut my fenders, or should I use a boost bottle? :: Search it and then go from there.

doorslammer
i agree im trying to get a heads up on what my jetting should be for my new pipes but after reading through 10 pages and an hour of your time is gone to find that one person had a SIMILAR setup and conditions to what you will be running it gets very time consuming and old quick BTW: from what ive read dmc aliens K&N w/ outerwares and no airbox lid sea level 65-120 degrees F start with 280 mains? bbcmudtruck
Use the search! Haha just messin. Inthemail has a good idea. Maybe there is some way to make a table of contents? The search works pretty good, but if there was a way to make it more specific, I think alot more questions would be answered. Ryan
dirtydownunder
the search button isnt as magical as you make it out to be, you hardly ever find what your looking for or you have to go threw thousands of posts that may/may not have what you looking for, and thats if it doesnt come up with an error. the search button is like the wizeman high up in the mountains (wich you can climb with your banshee) that he can answer any question but you have to ask the right question. Twistedtrik
The only issue I have with the search feature is that you can't search oil, K&N, pod, jet etc. I tried searching for Transmission oil and it told me that 1 subject was less than 4 characters. Gap ( spark plug ) is another biggie. It would be nice if there wasn't a character minimum for the search. I agree that answering the same questions over and over again gets old, but also remember that not everybody that comes to this site is "computer literate" and it may be their 1st time on a website for that matter. Snopczynski
I just searched transmission oil and this is what I got. Search results I get irritated with all the questions and no one searching because of one big thing. A guy will come on and see a few topics about 2 into 1 jetting. He will say well that bike has stock reeds and mine has vforce reeds. Or he will just think his setup is different from the guy who asked before him. Base starting point for 2 into 1 jetting will only really be different if the physical cc size of the engine is different. Even then the difference with a 35mm pwk between a ported 350 and a 4 mill 396cc stroker is 1 main jet size and 1 needle clip position. So yeah the constant 2 into 1 jetting questions get old.
