endofitall9
I've joined a few other forums here lately, But my Home is Bansheehq. Here lately I've noticed alot of guys just coming on here to post parts and then leaving, I'm really sketchy of this since they have no rep and noone knows who they are, I'll only deal with certain guys on here anyway. Now with all that being said Alot of forums i have been checking out will only let you post in the forsale section if you have a certain number of posts like 50--100 or whatever, I'm just throwing this out there because I think it sounds like a good idea for this board and could possibly save some guys some trouble..anyone feel the same? KaosBanshee44
Hmmm i've never heard of that and i agree with it. They just had a guy part out his motor and told people to pm him with prices. This isn't Ebay post pictures and what you want for it if you want a auction like i said go to ebay. I think it's a cool idea there are alot of good guys on here i've dealt with alot of em'. endofitall9
yeah I agree we have a fairly good community here and should be proud of it and make it better any way we can.. I mean i was new once and really sketchy of buying stuff off here. but if we put a rule to where you have to have like 75 posts before you can sell that would be cool and get rid of the people that think this is ebay, maybe require them to throw in prices with everything they are selling. no make off or pm and ill tell ya.. this would just make us a more efficient site, and I'm glad you agree hopefully we can get some others going and make this happen, the mods could pull the post once it is reported or they see it..or the premium members could do it once they have a certain amount of posts with their memberships. I would join the premium if I had this power!
NYUK
price, location and pics should be a must. mods only have so much power here. buyer beware with newbie sellers. if they have noone to vouch for them steer clear. if it seems too good. beware the snowman. Bansh-eman
the problem with x number of posts is i can get 10k posts in no time if i really wanted to. macro programs will do it all for you. I dought that anyone thats looking to toss there pegs up is going to bother with it but just saying its a possibility

endofitall9
yeah I'm just saying this is a good step for the HQ. Atleast it would get rid of some of the nonsense maybe give the premium members more product for their money and make a stroger community for us on here. I don't know about any of you guys but when I want my banshee parts i want them exactly as described and sometime within the next 4 years with no bitching in between...How can we make this happen? NYUK
stick with reputable sellers. most are well known. most have feedback profiles in every post. and in the nuetral forum. use your head. ask other long time members. ask for phone numbers. someone is less likely to gag your ass if you have his number.ask for home addresses. endofitall9
I know this but thats not what this post is about..its about trying to put a stop to the guys just coming here and the first thing they post is something forsale..which is rediculous..which some newbie could possibly get ripped off. I mean you can go to the forsale section right now and see 100 post whre people do this. this would put a stop to it and maybe make this a healthier board with members that plan on making friends and doing good businnes, so possibly you dont have to search around for whatever you could just make a deal...I persoanlly won't deal withsomeone unless they have over 500 posts and have paypal..I dont care I use my head, and Have never been burnt by someone on here for using my head but others have been burnt. I mean look at the heelguard post on the forsale that has been there for a year...could have possibly been avoided..
NYUK
paypal don t mean shit. link me up with the newbie post peddling shit.
endofitall9
Exactly if paypal doesnt go in your favor youve lost the money...I just thought I'd throw this out as a suggestion for the site... see how many would want this as a board rule. It's been so long since I signed up i dont even remember if you have to read froum rules when signing up..lol I'm not going to go pic all the threads out where people do this. It just hasn't been decided if we should do this or not maybe LEE could chime in a post his thought???? just if it does escalate. We should def. make it happen! Thanks Nyuk your already starting to take action.........
leadsled01
A different board I am on used to do that (50 post's before you can use the classifieds) thing. But people would get their 50 posts in one or two days by just saying stupid shit. They finally did away with the 50 post rule, and warn everybody to deal with people you know and trust. endofitall9
I forgot to say that would shouldn't have to warn it should be known. that this is our community and we like the guys that are here(Most of them anyway) so don't bring bullshit. first post you make is to sell something, No pics, Make offer, pm me for prices,..last week when that guy made like 10 different posts in the forsale section with each post being a different part, thats rediculous, not necessary...how do you stand NYUK you've been here a long time and are a well known member..??????? dajogejr
I get quite a few PMs asking me if I know members...etc. I'll vouch for those I know...or have done personal business with. Ask a member that has been around a while, and use common sense...as NYUK said. The feedback in Nuetral forum is a nice tool as well. Speaking of Tools.... NYUK and Banshe-eman are pretty stand up guys.... LOL...
jayzx10r
price, location and pics should be a must. mods only have so much power here. buyer beware with newbie sellers..... As an example, check out "utleybanshee" (nothing personal, just using this as an example) listing for sale at: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=92460 This member has 49 posts, 42 of them generated in answering questions about parts he has/is trying to sell here. First, he posts questions about what is wrong with his low compression engine parts, then he posts them up for sale without pictures using an eBay format, looking for the best offer. 14 of the 17 responses to his parts would have been self explanatory had he had posted pics and prices. I have fished for pricing trying to figure out what something is worth before selling it so I can understand the mentality. I'm still a NooB. :yelrotflmao: But I think once you decide to sell something here, you should have a set price and snap photos....or go to (Fe)eBay. If you don't have a digicam...that's OK, but stating pictures on request is lame. My $.02 on this. Edited March 25, 2008 by jayzx750
