rtcc
ok, so I need to cut down my tie rods in order to screw my ball joints in all the way. I need them in all the way cause I need to drill them to secure them with a cotter pin. I have another thread going call ball joint safety... So what is the best way to do this? I remember a lot of talk about this on the wicked thread but it wasnt that specific. What can I use to cut it? Do I need to add any more threading? I would say a 1/4" should do it? I cant figure out any other way to do this. Thanks
Bansh-eman
you just need to use a metal cutting blade on a chpo saw. make sure you cut the right hand side so you can buy a normal tap to clean the threads. I was the retard that cut the left hand side and couldnt get a tap to clean it up.

rtcc
ok got it all done!!! It wasnt that bad really. I just had to redo all the setting of the front end to have enough room to drill. Got cotterpins in all the balljoint shafts. Had to cut about a 1/4" off each tie rod end but everything worked out perfect. Got it all back together and I will give it a few runs today. Still might have to do some adjustments on the toe in and out. thanks everyone for your help! Terry
