Rickey Pace
Easter weekend is over and time for repairs I'm sad to say. So cruzin up sand moutain the bike start to cut out alittle at full throttle. Went back to camp to check it out plugs looked good but put new ones in any how did same thing. The outfiters slid off alittle and sand was all up on my filter. Took them of cards were nice and clean so ni harm done. Cleaned them up relubed up the filters let dry and put back on now bike has hard time running and at half throtle putters like crazy tried driving around the camp to see if it would stop and then slot of smoke and then it died and now that's were I am now she won't start doesnt even try. When kicking both pipes are putting out good compression fuel is good spank should be good. Everyone things its electrical like something rattled lose. Has any have a clue I looked all around and can't figure it out.
bonbon
Try a compression check. Sounds like you may have been running your carb bowls dry going up the mountain. You might have burned your rings. Hopefully someone else will chime in and shed some light.
inthemail
yea wernt you having a problem running dry just a little while ago? do you have a compression tester, you might have toasted your TE. after that id say you need a good look at jetting with spotless carbs and filters. you said the problem started going uphill at full throttle id say your runnin dry and that could have had an effect on compression, especially if it leaned out after running smack on already warmed up. hot metal expands, engine leans out metal gets hotter faster all of a sudden and wears out due to already being warm.
