Need some piston help.

I've got my top end apart and I have miced the cyclinders. They are in very good shape and are running true top to bottom. I miced them at 2.578 or 65.4812 mm. This is about .058315 over. Is that close enough to .060 over to get a .060 over rebuild kit. This is my first rebuild so I could use a little help. What kit is good? I am looking at the vito's super stock forged. is forged or cast better? There is some mild porting done, 2 into 1 exhaust and carb set up (trinity stage 4), that is all that I know is done. I ride mainly trails and friends tracks. Any help would be great.

I have used in the vito's super stock pistons in several different banshee's and blasters builds over the years with not one single failure. As for cast pistons, i highly recommend you stay away from those, as they are prone to break. as for your size, you need to know exactly what the new pistons will measure, and then finish hone to get the required clearance. call vito's and see if they can offer any input on the sizing.

If there is already a set of pistons on the bike cant I just get the same size? I would rather not get into any honing or boring if I do not have to. Is a .060 over kit the piston size or bore size?

0.60" over sounds good if your cylinders are that close to 65.5mm. But an engine builder would be able to tell you for sure. The reason I am responding to your post is because I thought that Trinity's Stage IV was a drag port. If this is so then you might be more suited for a set of dual exhaust pipes instead of your 2 into set up. Or maybe even a this aggressively ported cylinders. Just some food for thought if you have it tore down already.

I think maybe you miss understood. The intake is a 2 into 1 trinity stage 4 set up. I do not have drag porting done to my knowledge. the guy who owned the bike before me mx raced or flat tracked it. It is set up witha -2 or -1 swinger and a wide front end, not a drag set up I dont think. I apprectiate the info. if money was not a factor, I would do a lot more to it while I have it ripped down. I just want it running so when the weather here in the midwest breaks I can go ride
