Handyman
In '99 when I wason borad the USS Theodore Roosevelt airraft carrier I was working on the flight deck on catapult one when a EA-6B prowler had issues keeping from launching and had to go to another spot on the flight deck...the pilot turned the nose wheel 90 degress and the jet wouldn't move so it gave it a little mroe thrust and started to turn...The exhaust points down towrds your feet and has been known to literally sweep people off their feet...Well some chick was staring off into la la land and wasn't paying attention...I saw what was about to happen ans ran over to her just as the exhaust caught her and picked her up off her feet and started to blow her over the side of the side of the ship I was able to grab her and throw her into the catwalk..just as that happened the exhaust caught me and did blow me over the side of the ship...Hit the water 90 feet below the flight deck...I tell you the sound of those 4 big ass propellers turning in the water and idea that I could get sucked into them was pretty damn scary....I had the state of mind to swim away from the ship once I surfaced...You never know what you;re going to do in a scary situation until you're in the situation...
