Handyman
 A cheetah powervalve cylinder kit includes cylinder, reeds, gaskets, powervalves, head, pistons, rings, needle bearings...runs about $2300 Stuff you still need...33-35mm carbs($350) dual pingle valve($60) so your lookiing at about $2700 not including a longer swingarm to keep the front down. jets for the carbs for the fine tuning, a better set of paddles to ge the power transferred to the ground and get the tires to hook...etc...so you're looking at close to $3k-$4k depending on brand and price for shipping of the parts not to mention labor if you have it done for you... It would almost be cheaper to buy a motor or banshee already built for drag racing..at least in my case it would be since I want a 535cc cheetah motor... :woot:

dajogejr
allright, so port and polish, and head mod ? who do i do it through ? any recomedations Do a search. MY recommendation is call several builders. See how they treat you, see if they answer the phone and/or call you back. Keep in mind, it's prime season for builders, off season for the northern guys...so, shops are filling up... See how they treat you, how they listen, if they ask the right questions, etc. And of course, pricing. One more thing to consider....support those that support this site. There are plenty of good builders, one that put their hard earned money into this site should be your first call. Otherwise...like most things, this will turn into insert your favorite builder name here thread.
660r2a400ex
i hear a lot about F.A.S.T motors is he a member on here i guess also what kind of hp you think a port and polish is, also i want to keep the stock bore and maybe switch out stock pistons for wiescos, will the pistons make a big difference, should i sell my fmfs and get some toomy T5's as well ? trinity says a port and polish is 400, does that include my head mod or...i dont know too much about these banshees if you cant tell, also i run stock carbs witha 330 main right now, smells wierd like a burnt smell but theres oil all over the back of the tips...too rich ? it ran fine stock came from cali and now its in va, i put the pipes on and it runs like a bat outta hell but plugs show fine jetting but smells wierd and oil comes of silencers. i will call around and check prices but what is all in a port and polish ? cylinders or heads? dajogejr
All questions you should be asking Jeff and/or your builder of choice. It comes down to two things, your budget...and what you want out of the motor and your setup. Porting is done on the cylinder itself on a 2 stroke. There are no valves, etc. in the head.
