jayzx10r
Anyone heading out to Glamis or Buttercup over Easter? I haven't decided yet if I'm gonna go out over Easter, but if more that a few are going, I just might too..... Jay From SanD.
Twistedtrik
I will more than likely be off of Ogilby just east of Patton. Supposed to be leaving Wed. night or Thurs. morning early and leaving to come back Easter Sunday sometime.

Twistedtrik
Looks like I won't be there this year. We decided to go to Bowie instead so my wife can get used to her bike before tackling the big dunes.

jayzx10r
Well, it's definite!! Heading out to Glamis on Friday night... Woohoo!! Two quads with me, my neighbor is bringing a buggy, 2 quads (HonDuh), and a bike, + meeting up with someone with a stoopid fast mid-long travel. My bro might show up with his DPV...Desert Patrol Vehicle mid travel Chenowth used in the Gulf War and a quad. I usually camp out near the Glamis Store or may go to one of the washes. If you know of a good place to park that has somewhat firm ground for an RV to get through, let me know. Getting stuck >SuckS<. Family friendly...alcohol friendly. Give a shout if you wanna meet up/camp....the more the merrier!!

Probably a bit soft for an RV, but i get my truck and toy hauler back there no problem. White 2500 Chevy, and a Redline toy hauler, 4-5 dirt bikes, 3 quads, and thats about all! jayzx10r
Just got back last night...left Roadrunner at 7:00 and pulled into my driveway at 10:00. Friggin Perfect Weekend!! I was kinda surprised there weren't more people there so the dunes were in great condition. Full moon was awesome for night riding. I found the best way to race is to not use full throttle so that way I barely win...keeps the competition eager to race again. Someone was out on a pretty nice 500cc Quadzilla and I did the same thing...just beat him by a half a quad length. At the bottom of the hill, he was talking smack about how he would have roached me if he had gotten off the line better. Mind you...I was on my Sand Skate IIs...my Haulers were back at camp!! The next race I gave him full throttle and had at LEAST 7 lengths over him... :yelrotflmao: One of the guys (David) in our camp had a nice long travel buggy with a Cadillac DOHC motor...basically stock and it makes 350+ HP...a $35-40,000 rig. Pretty wild ride. He met up with one of his friends that had one of the $90,000 buggies and he was into giving out rides...you can t really explain what it is like riding in a 700 HP car with the most awesome coil over suspension. I couldn't feel the whoops as we sped up to over 90 MPH at the sand drags on Gecko. You punch it and the front end rises 2 feet!! Un Fucking Real. George (the gnarlier car owner) said he used to have a twin turbo motor that made 1100HP or something like that, but after going through 2 transmissions (something like 15-20k each) half shafts, and a bunch of other parts, he decided to drop the power a bit to only 700...Wow. It only has 700+. Going out again in 2 weeks...my neighbor has a bitchin' old school VW Chenowth buggy and a couple of quads, David with his buggy, and my GF and I...her on a Blaster for her and my Banshee for me. Quite possibly my last ride of the season because surgery is on my schedule mid April. Give a shout if you are gonna head out!!
