SRP reeds VS V Force 3

I have access to a Dyno five days out of the week. Id be more than happy to test them and post charts. Let me know if you're still interested in sending out a pair your reed cages. Also what we have to do to make this legit.

I have given other products in the past to people and my criteria first is that you must have a lot of posts (in thousands), able to critique the part properly and for this one possess a dyno. Even though I'm sure you would provide an honest review unfortunately members on this and other forums want to be familliar with the reviewer (lot of posts).

Thanks for the offer!

We haven't sold cages on Ebay cause it is a difficult product to push. V force is so popular it is a kin to competing with cylinders against Calvin. You are running into a brick wall.

Your comment about number of posts isn't very valid. Example... Flowtek is a respected engine porter and he has 40 posts. Post count isn't always a good way to judge someone.

You seem to be backing down in trying to prove your product... If I were you I would have the reed cages on eBay also. It's good exposure if nothing else...

Just my opinion!

We manufacture those reed cages and they are our brand (chariot performance). We manufacture most of Magic Racing billet products and they also slap their srp name on our brand products. We designed these cages to outperform v-force up to 4mm stroker gas. We don't have charts and we don't push the cages because most of our dealers prefer to continue fully with v-force and who can blame them. I would be glad to send a free set to anyone who has a dyno and would like to check them out and post charts. Any suggestions on a reputable guy who would like to do this? These cages use boysen banshee reeds.

I have access to a dyno, live in MI...and I think I qualify on post count.

However, I ride a 10 mil cub on alky... If you think these reeds will not work on my setup, please say so...:)

I have access to gas carbs, I own two sets of pipes for my bike, the most popular (Shearer and CPI) and can get my hands on Grand River pipes to test as well...

As a bonus, I already have your head on my bike...as well as I purchaed an SRP throttle from Magic two years ago.

I have nothing but good things to say about the quality of both.

I ride with all the local MI drag race guys, do you know if any of them happen to use these cages?

I would love to take you up on your offer...but if my motor/setup is not to your liking, I understand as well.

I am in tear down mode for freshening up, chrome work, etc. so, it'll be a month or two before I could test them.

Flotek also had a user name rocketboy with a LOT more posts, but Denny chose to use Flotek. I don't know if Lee was unable to reset a password, or if he chose to use Flotek for advertisment/brand purposes....but rocketboy would definitely meet post requirements as well.

I don't think they'll compete on that size bike. As the cheetahs go up in size so does the reed cage, right? Get me your address and I'll send you a set because I am curious about that size cub and these.

I would still like to find someone (with a lot of posts) with 4 mil or less to try a set also.

Every SRP part I've purchased has been high quality - thumb throttle assembly, parking brake block off, billett basket, clutch lever, probably many others I can't think of at this time; though I have no experience with the reed cages.

You're right on the Cheetahs, they use CR125 dirt bike reeds/cages. However, this is the Cheetah CUB, cub motors use the same size intakes as stock cylinders. One of the reasons Calvin made the cubs is the same head, exhaust flange and intakes as a stock cylinder....:)

I will PM you my address...

To be 100% honest with you, flotek would be a good choice for these cages. He only has 40 posts under that name, but he used to use the screen name rocketboy...PLENTY of posts. I know he a very strong running 358 cub, I've done plenty of business with you...and he ports engines himself with plenty of satisfied customers.

Obviously up to you, but in this one case...I think flotek is a good choice for a smaller motor.

Thanks Jerry....

I have a stock stroke cub 392 ccs and am kinda newish to HQ but have hundreds of posts on other sites like planetsand etc. If you'd like them to be tested against stock cages as well let me know. I will say if they are good and prove them selves i'll post on more than just this site.

It's kinda funny I posted about these cages on 9/17/07 on Psand. Dont know if the link will work on here. http://www.planetsand.com/forums/ubbthread...lves#Post705123 Not much exposure still. As for somebody not being able to compete with Calvin on cylinders that's not true. Calvin just happens to sell a very good product. For about 50% more than just porting you can get a new cylinder that rocks. If anybody had a slightly better cylinder or was 25% less expensive than Calvin... like your cages are compared to Vforces then they'd be very busy making them. I'll dyno a set if you want. I was thinking the carbon reeds would be better for a 11,000 rpm motor not the 2 stage. I even have a brand new set of carbon tech reeds I could try on those cages.
