blueshee03
t rexs can run very good but it takes alot of porting . in my oppinion for what it will cost to buy the t rex kit you are further ahead to buy a cheetah cub setup. the t rex was great in its day but alot of them were known to have the bridge in the intake break. I have to agree, the cubs run harder then the t-rexs imo.

I took first and second both times I ran down there.

BigRed350x
I ride with a guy with a 535 trex that K&T ported and put together. 10mil. My 10mil cub would walk all over that thing. I could give him a good 3 to 4 lengths before I even took off and I would still beat him before the top of the hill.

He must not be a very good rider or the bike isnt tuned right lol
blanco25
What r u trying to do with the bike? What style of riding? There a many factors in this decision. I have a T-rex powervalve motor and its pretty quick. I only ride sand and do a little hill shooting. At first I didn't like it. But once it got set up right Im pretty pleased with it. I also dont have stroker crank or running alcohol and it holds its own at dumont. Up comp hill I up shift and pull 5th gear pretty hard. Great low end to? Get in touch with t-rex banshee here on this site he'll give you some good info.
blanco25
do spend the money and get it ported? Most bikes at dumont I can pull up on and beat them pretty bad. the only ones I cant beat are the plus 10 swinger full drag bike but I would like them to try and keep up with me through the dunes. Oh and another thing I was really surprised with its reliability. All I do is change oil and put gas in the things. And it been two years and never had to rebuild it.
