Screaming Yellow Zonker
it is where the trans automatically shifts to the next gear all by itself  I personally want a dunable override. FAST sells them.
chillls
o thats cool i dont think i would like that. im the master of my trany :yelrotflmao:
trex banshee
they are a bunch of balony haha dont use those bro guaranteed breakdown of tranny stick with stock or override trans nothing in between. shows how much you know...dunable overrides have been proven for a while now. WCR cuts a damn good tranny and Greg is a hell of a guy to deal with in my opinion. My advice to you chills is to not listen to hex, obviously he has not had the experience with today's overrides. You will be pleased.
trex banshee
it is where the trans automatically shifts to the next gear all by itself  it is not where the trans shifts to the next gear all by itself...you have to hit the shifter just like before but without using the clutch or letting off. much quicker and a lot more efficient!
kawiking
it is where the trans automatically shifts to the next gear all by itself  you still have to shift ,but without clutching it.(im pretty sure )... but you have to clutch it when u let off the gas so u dont load it up. i think a duneable is alittle more forgiving .. i dont have one, so somebody else might want to chime in. i am planning on putting a dunable in my 4 mill cub. KaosBanshee44
No doubt that i'm going with one when i start building my motor, alot easier to use when you drag at the dunes or on the track.
inthemail
im sure jeff doesnt want to explain it to everyone over the phone and i have limited time cause my ride to work will be here shortly. they cut the gears to allow upshifting (usually from 2-5) without a clutch at WFO. there great because well, you have no lost seconds slipping a clutch and its fun to rip gears like that on a banshee with the high rpm they make it makes sence to have a dunable override. you MUST ull in the clutch when you back off the throttle as a precatution because backloading (someone explain this for em i dont have time) will bend shift forks. since you will be pulling in your clutch at high rpms alot, i also suggest the pancake bearing because ou dont wanna weld your balls to your rod
badassbanshee479
they are a bunch of balony haha dont use those bro guaranteed breakdown of tranny stick with stock or override trans nothing in between. where are you getting your info from? I have had a 2-5 dunable override for the last three years and I have not had a single problem with it! drag racing hill shooting over ride yes! trail riding general screwing off, over ride no! dajogejr
they are a bunch of balony haha dont use those bro guaranteed breakdown of tranny stick with stock or override trans nothing in between. Exactly...if you have one done by Joe Bob's tire/rubber and cosmetics store, I wouldn't trust it. A competent source, no issues. I ran my Neutral down 1-5 dunable all last year, no issues. I know SEVERAL people personally that have had no issues...either. You basically upshift UNDER FULL THROTTLE WITH NO CLUTCH. Dunable allow you to backload the trans (although doing this for periods of time over 8K motor RPM is not advised..) and you can downshift like a normal tranny. KaosBanshee44
Hey Chilllls ever thought about getting someone to resize the pic on your signature? Just a thought?
1stwarrior95
Anybody have pics of an override trans? Just curious what is done to 'em. Also how do you downshift an override? (Noticed somebody said the dunable version can be downshifted like normal)
shanYE west
It can be rode just like a normal transmission.. Only thing is.. if your pulling like 8-10k rpms and let off the gas without pulling in the clutch first.. You'll prematurely wear the shift forks..
